3. 2006 (seven years between the two releases and seven years since the last one - or else next year)
4. 2008 (I know we had many over the course of about two years but it’s died off)
5. Summer 2005 (why do we still only have weekend on the rocks 15 years on?)

Really shocked that management chose a ‘96 show. It wasn’t even in the top 6 most likely years! Who is making these decisions?

No idea. I didn’t put it in the list because this is a few months premature to be celebrating the anniversary of Crash (maybe 56?). 1997 was still considered the crash tour correct?

Decent question, for a newbie.

The super unofficial answer is that the Live Trax series is a multi-tracked recorded performance, while the DMBLive series is mostly recorded on two tracks, therefore being slightly less higher quality.

So the DMBLive series is all single tracked tapes. The Live Trax series is all multi tracked, which means they are able to mix and edit each individual instrument. The end result leaves the Live Trax releases as much more professional recordings.

Apparently they started recording all shows with multi-track equipment at the start of 1996. This explains why there aren’t many LTs from pre 96, and also why most of the DMBLive releases are pre 96.

2005 doesn’t have an LT. (But it does have Weekend on the Rocks)
2011 doesn’t have an LT. (But it does have Live at Atlantic City)
2017 doesn’t have an LT.
2019 doesn’t have a full band LT.
