    um...well....

i get it now. it was an amazing movie... i still think that pans should have gotten it, just because it was completely unlike any movie i have ever seen. This movie was incredible, and i am not mad that it won.

It was ok. Technically very impressive and creative, of course, but it suffered from uninteresting characters. It would be an epic movie if they made the characters and their relationships more real, instead of just a convienent plot device. Then it would truly be a powerful experiance, instead of just "oh, that was cool"

completely agree. I left the theater thinking it was one of the best movies i had seen in a while, but it quickly died off and was not very memorable. now i just think it was good.

yeah. once again, it proves that unless you get the emotional core basics to work, the movie can't affect the viewer, no matter how grand it is. sadly, it seems that no almost director in modern cinema understands this.

I just saw 300 in IMAX, it was pretty cool, but I thought it would be better. To me it was repetitive: sex scene, killing scene, nude scene, killing scene, stacking body scene, sex scene, an hour of more killing scenes, some more stacking of bodies, and thats pretty much it. Oh yeah, and some more killing.

I watched Stranger Than Fiction and Borat today. Stranger Than Fiction was very good...better than I thought it'd be! And Borat was funny/clever, but I hate to say it...over-rated.

She's the Man - and I have to admit it was better than I thought it'd be. I like sport movies and thought this would be more girly than sporty, but I didn't think it was

personally, I thought it was worthless. I applaud it for some of the cinematography, especially in Tokyo, and the fact that they shot the film in 3 or more different parts of the world. Other than that, if you've seen crash, syriana, or any one of the other movies by the same director you've seen Babel. Its one of those movies that tries to pound home a certain message yet I believe completely fails to do so based on the fact that the plot has so many holes that you find yourself concentrating on the question "why in the fuck is this happening right now" rather than "what does this mean". Just my take on it

The Deer Hunter - 7/10, a little long, but great performance from De Niro as always. Walken and Cazale were great as well, and the cinematography was awesome.
