Give me your 5 best shows to listen to

This can be anything from official releases to unknown/underrated tapes

Here are mine today: Please share yours so I can deep dive this weekend!

1-26-1993 So good. The next night 1-27 is an official release on dmblive. Both are great shows and very different. Both have great tapes.

5/10/95 DMBlive show Very Underrated. Short and sweet set but lets of energy and a great overall show

3/2/94 Masquerade Night Club also a DMBlive show. Was recommended by DobyBlue a few years ago on the boards and I love it. It's got a bit of tuning issues with Dave's Guitar and Boyd at times, but great vocals from Dave and Carter on lots of tunes. Carter's voice is way up in the mix which gives some of the harmonies up front and center attention. Lots of great performances on here and a good overall sound.

Live Trax 47 - I think this might a top 5 release for me. Bela Fleck makes this show amazing. Solid 1997 show. Band is having fun. Seek Up alone is worth the price of admission and everything else is gravy.

3-14-99 Dave and Tim The night before this is Live Trax 41 and a great show as well, but this one nudges it out a bit with Bob Weir on Watchtower and Santana on Love of my life and JTR... The tape for this is perfect. It sounds professional recorded. Can't get enough of this one right now.

I would listen to the best DMB show from 1995, 1998, 2000, 2003/4 and 2013 to get a little taste of what the different eras of DMB sounded like

Was at 6.23.00 as well! Amazing show all the way through, but that Typical -> Bartender -> Recently -> Ditch (with lightning storm in the background) was just freaking mindblowing.

I had the crazy luck to be at both LT1 and LT3. That Centrum show, I remember standing about halfway back on the floor, and I'll never forget that Last Stop closer, both musically but also VISUALLY the combo was stunning. Bela & Tim & Butch with the original 5... special times, special times. <3

So would you consider yourself a post Boyd fan then? Just 18/19 shows?

8.11.02 - best KKJ I’ve heard, and amazing captain and seek up opener

No I like Boyd when he's good, but he was really bad during that show. Here's an example-

Even at the beginning of Grey Street you see Dave turn over to Boyd like "what the fuck man?"

Damn that’s brutal. I wonder if Dave can ask for Boyd to be turned off in his earpiece.

Pretty amazing indeed. When I was at the Central Park show just off range of the side cameras, it was like I stepped into another dimension. Everyone just KNEW that was going to be THE show after Red Rocks.. Which I also got to be at.. I'm very blessed and lucky to pick these shows. Also Live trax 32.. Wow I was there too.

I just assume it's intentional. He was that good... because once he gets back in tune it's like AHAHHHHHHHHHHHH... Cool trick.
