The boys are coming back and it looks like Hartford might be getting 2 nights after all! According to our very own rumor thread... https://www.antsmarching.org/forum/s...postcount=2739 Hartford will be getting the full band on June 23 and then in September Dave and Tim will be coming back to play Farmaid!

My last show was Gorge 2016 and that was life-changing...but what I am really excited about is having the boys back in Hartford where they have been coming every touring year since 1995. We need to make up for lost time Hartford!

Ayooooooo! I'm flying back from Cali for my sister's graduation which lines up perfectly for hitting this show.

Sup with New Park? May be my first time getting to the brewery and have seen you post a bit regarding their can releases.

I'm sure someone will give you more detail... but Hartford is my home venue and I've seen every show there since 2007. Have done it all, from the shitshow that is the dirt lot, to staying at the Travelodge and everything in between.

Last few years, I've ponied up $20-$30 to park in the private lots along the main street (blanking on the name). Lots of small businesses that open up. Much more relaxed and no issues with cops. Also usually much easier to get out of.

In terms of hotels - the Ramada is walking distance and usually decently priced/clean. Believe there is a Hilton nearby as well?

Feel free to correct anything I may have misspoken.

All in all - I fucking love Hartford. Usually some solid to great sets.

I haven’t been to Hartford for a show in a while. How is the pit? Bringing my wife who has never been, I’m worried it’ll be to intense.

Unless there is a downsize, it's one of the larger PITs on tour. I've never been overwhelmed, if that's the concern. In my PIT shows, I've gone in 30-45 min before showtime and ended up 5-10 rows back. Always less congestion over by BT (my personal fave anyway

Rail may be a different gig, I wouldn't know. But I've loved all my PIT experiences at Hartford. I will be aiming for that this year if anyone has X2

What, a tasty brewery in Hartford?! Just looked them up, and they just started canning. Will keep an eye out and see if I can swing by on the way into the show in June.

Nice! I have a few friends up that way who go there pretty frequently... I've got some days to burn over the next couple of months and planning to hit Tree House, may have to had New Park to a couple of those if they're open. Will definitely let you know.

They are amazing man. The only issue is that they are small scale. They have done two cannings so far and have had 40 cases each canning run. I was there 2 hours early for 8 beers Just like the early days at treehouse

Yeah noticed that canning was new and the yields were on the small side. I have no issues with low yield as long as they keep allotments low too, which they have been doing. I don't buy tons anyway, 1 4-pack of a beer is plenty for me to enjoy and pass around.

Driving up to Boston in April so plan on hitting up the new Tree House location on the way in, or out, or both.

Have you checked out Twelve.Percent.Beer.Project releasing down at Thimble Island in Branford? They're basically an umbrella, bringing together and releasing for other breweries (Decadent Ales, Evil Twin, Stillwater, etc.)... if you haven't definitely go check out one of the releases. Typically on Sundays.

I've met and chatted with the owner - super cool guy, down to Earth.

They allow a beer share prior to the releases... the share is in point!

I'm from Long Island as well so I feel I can answer this question pretty well. The tailgate scene in Hartford is much wilder (and if you're into partying, better). Hartford also has a much larger capacity so expect a lot more people. The pit in Hartford is like 10x the size of JB. Also, Hartford has a huge lawn and obviously JB doesn't have one. If you are in the Warehouse and you make your Hartford request your priority, there is a good chance you will end up with pretty decent seats.

As to your question, you won't get that info here.

Whats going on with only 1 show? I think even Mass DMB fans would prefer two nights in Hartford.

hartford is great, only issue really is the lawn can turn into an absolute shit show. tons of high school/younger college kids in the lawn that can get a little crazy. a good amount of them go just as an excuse to get hammered. I'd avoid lawn at ALL costs. other than that, great show, great fans in the seats and the large pit.

it sucks because the two nighter was such a fun time. This is the third year now with a solo show
