Deer Creek 2012, they started Pig but Carter started playing Spaceman. They all laughed it up to start. But it was really neat to watch them build the song back up to what we know. Boyd actually kept the opening together enough and Dave's playing was slower and casual. Instrumentally, you could hear the original Don't Burn The Pig sound evolving into what became the familiar BTCS Pig by the first chorus. Some would write it off as a wreck, But I found it pretty fascinating.

I'd love for them to just jam for a while every now and then and maybe find their way into a song. Like just start playing in a certain key for 60-90 seconds and see if goes anywhere familiar. If it does just build it into that song, if not just fade away and then go into another song

I feel ya. Check out Two Step from Deer Creek N1 acoustic set in 2014. They find some little catchy groove and took it all the way into it. Was pretty awesome.

Would be awesome but that would require them to practice and actually be in tune with one another outside of their fixed parts they know from memory on songs.

True, it doesn't look like Dave has any interest in having that type of band at the moment.

Just listened to this yesterday. Has to be one of the highlights of Boyd's run with DMB.

So I say just let them get together, play music and have fun I guess. But if these ticket prices keep going up, I might be bowing out. Just saw this for the first time. Dave knew something was off because Carter's count was wayyyy too slow for Pig. That's why Dave (I think) bent his knees a bit to indicate something felt off with the count.

Pretty funny because you can imagine Dave's 'panic' when he noticed the count was super slow but his part is about to come up.. could've been the slowest Pig in history at the tempo Carter counted at

This guy is just a very embarrassing person. His willingness to argue with fans online, as well as the people who come to his rescue (Alice Cooper's guitarist Dee Snider ) really just puts the nail in the coffin of where this band is at culturally.

    Pathetic.
