My feelings about 'Cover Song' are like this... (let me know which of these three you guys prefer or suggest something else)

    1. Cover song can be played more then once... meaning you can bench another song on your team and play Cover Song twice or more times. If Cover Song is only played once, you only get points for it once. It stays with whoever drafted it and noone has a chance to pickup any further Cover Songs that are played.

    2. We make Cover song like the New songs. Cover song #1, Cover Song #2... and so on. We put #2 #3 (etc) on waivers, and they can be picked up and dropped as a normal song, (pending your order on waivers)

    3. We just simply add Money and Money (what I want) and any future cover song to the song pool and then they can be added via waiver rules.

Thoughts? We really have to keep it fair though. These cannot become last years Cornbread and #27... because whoever picked them up, essentially won the league.

So what was the general consensus made about the cover rule for all the leagues? Sounded like in the main thread that to keep it the same but only allow for it to count once per show.

Also, what are the exact rules about trading?

My vote goes to #1. Anything we can do to avoid a waiver rush is for the best IMO.

I agree. I hate adding songs to waivers because whoever gets them first, will have a major advantage if they continuously get played.

    Re: League Bartender - 2008

This is how League-Bartender will be dealing with the new cover songs:

"COVER SONG" stays with whoever drafted it and no one has a chance to pickup any further Cover Songs that are played. The originally drafted "Cover Song" will, well, cover Thank You, Money, etc...

BUT, since Cover song can be played more than once, if you wish to get points for both (for example) Thank You and Money, then you can bench another song on your team and put Cover Song in your lineup twice (or as many times as you see fit). If Cover Song is only played once, you only get points for it once.

This gives an advantage to SKO116 (if he ever decides to set a lineup) but it allows us to avoid the chaos that is the waiver rush.

If numerous covers are played, you will be scored for one of them. It's still a great song to have though because the covers that have thus far been played will not be available to buy.

As far as trading goes, you have to trade for the same value. If you are trying to trade two songs worth $9, you must get back $9 worth of songs.

Ok. thanks for clearing that up for me. Definitely was a nice sleeper pick i got.

Thanks for the info on the trading too. Too bad I really do not have a lot to try and trade at the moment. Cover song is the one thing really keeping me alive..lol

correct, but if the 2nd one has a guest on it, we'll give you the extra point. Instead of counting it for the first one.
