What (besides politics) irritates you?

The A/C went out in my car yesterday, the hottest day of the year thus far. Recharged the R134a freon. Worked ok on the way in, not so much on the way back, which tells me it's a major leak. Leak tested and did not find a leak, so it's probably a bad condenser/compresor. This means that I'm powerless to fix it. I literally cannot fit my hand and arm where it goes...it has to be accessed with a lift and I do NOT get under cars on jackstands. What a wonderful time to fail. Debating spending 500-1000 to get it fixed if that is in fact the problem or trying to sell it for another vehicle.

Also, I've just been sweating for no reason lately. I mean I can sit indoors in an air conditioned environment and just sweat.

Given all of this, I'm giving serious consideration to transferring to a cooler and less humid climate...where I can bitch and complain about the winter instead of summer. Someone build a huge biodome already. 68 degrees, please.

Just got a bill from my orthopedic doctor. My insurance didn't cover a single penny of the Cortisone shot I got in my shoulder.


This last bit is going to tap our HSA, so I can no longer afford physical therapy appointments.

Ive been going thru PT the last 6 weeks for my elbow, most of which isn't paid by my insurance....my HSA is now gone! And the PT isn't doing much so I am headed towards another Cortisone shot myself. Extremely frustrating!

It's fucking crazy... I spent a shitload on healthcare last year - completely exhausted my HSA and then some. It was a SHITLOAD to me... but apparently not the government since I couldn't use it as a deduction.

The fact that so many adults where I work have zero clue how to use a keyboard and/or take screenshots on their computer using the keyboard functionality and/or the snipping tool.

The latest example is from an early 20's something college graduate that is studying to become a lawyer.

I told her to send me a screenshot of an error message and she sends me a fucking picture she took on her phone of the computer screen.

Maddening.

Next to Excel, the Snipping Tool is my favorite program.

Ctrl+Alt+Print Screen is my go-to, but the snipping too is useful as well.

Ctrl+Alt+Print Scr is my go-to when I want just the one screen capped all nice and neat like.

The Snipping Tool is great to show background stuff and/or the hierarchy of how you got to where you are so people don't question where/what.

That's usually too much shit for me. And I work on multiple screens so print screen normally grabs the wrong one... my fault, I know, but with Snipping I don't have to think about it.

Staying on the computer literacy point, and it's been brought up before by me and some others I think, but it irrationally annoys me when somebody CCs themselves into an Email they're sending.

You fucking ponce, it's in your sent items. Just grab it and put it where you need it to go.

yah i use em both extensively here at work. In my first role at the current place i had a program called Snag It on my comp...that was basically Snipping Tool on steroids...it was great. haven't had it since that first role though...different computer...and apparently they dont want to pay for another license

Fucking work warriors, always need to make it obvious that they're doing work, or doing more work than the next guy.

We have some ongoing jokes about that kinda thing. A couple totally innocent comments have been made about someone coming in at a certain time, and other people have snapped back defensively about how late they stayed the day before or something

That and being sure to let everyone know what time it was when you answered a call or email.
