I think we need to get past tip toe-ing around this and just call it like it is. There’s a TON of low info, poorly educated, Americans who have a disproportionate political weight and they fuck up the show for the rest of us by voting against their best interest and voting for degenerates and wannabe fascists.

There’s millions of Americans who’d love to vote for MTG or Madison Cawthorn. It’s an electorate problem we should address head on and transparently.

I'm okay with a MTG or Madison Cawthorn in congress. Those crazies need representation too. But the bigger question is how do you prevent a Trump from getting power again? I'd argue first, let's make the Presidency less powerful, but in terms of elections, just saying there is low info / poorly educated voters doesn't solve the issue - and then pretending sending them to college (where they'd get "educated") isn't it either.

As I said, I don't paint with the broad dumb brush. Some people are more susceptible to media manipulation than others. We all have biases to varying degrees. Some let them be exploited easier than others.

Reread what he said. I brought up a specific population (latino/hispanic) changing their voting patterns that did not mention Trump, I said voting more red, and he called them dumb. Only afterwards, were there some caveats (like Trump / all people)

Can’t say it enough, even though I’ve already said it like half a dozen times. Voting for Trump makes someone dumb, no matter their ethnicity. Specifically, the South Florida Cubans who first elected our spectacular asshat governor and then gave Florida to Trump two years later are historically stupid for falling for the socialism buzzword. But yes, there is a clear IQ (and EQ) line with what party you support.

That means very little on winning the next election.

Gotta win a plurality of the votes (or more if you are a democrat). Gotta get votes and just win elections as long as you can (time is running out in certain areas)

There’s nothing wrong with people identifying or labeling themselves under a subset of ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender identity, etc. I fully consider anyone living here and paying taxes as American, even if they’re green card immigrants or undocumented. But everyone should also feel free to say, “I am _________” on top of being American.
