I'd imagine with 12/31 being the actual recognized holiday this year and everyone being off, at least the early game should do good ratings. I think the one time it got abysmal ratings was like on a Thursday or something.

Even if 12.31 is a holiday, just a terrible time for it. New Years Day is a college football. Wish the order of the New Year's games were reversed too.

Hopefully with playoff expansion (if it ever comes through, and if not lol at Oklahoma & Texas), we get games played earlier. Between the conference championship games and first round of playoffs, that's 27 days.

Not that it matters in the grand national scale, but Bronco Mendenhall's stepping back from football indefinitely, leaving a vacant coaching spot at UVA. They might promote within or may be on the hunt, I haven't followed too closely.

Oregon should try to grab Harsin if the vax thing isn't an issue but the Auburn thing isn't working. Get a west coast guy who might actually stay instead of some dude who's going to go back east after 1-2 years.

Harsin can’t recruit though. I think he’s gonna do better if/when he gets back to a smaller program.

Bryce is the clear winner, but I honestly don’t see how Hutchinson is getting the love he’s getting. Really good player, but Will Anderson blows him away.

31.5 tackles for loss is sick. I think Hutchinson has significantly more QB pressures, but I agree with you, Anderson is the better player / has had the better season. I'd vote for him.

In complete and total fairness to Hutchinson, it’s harder to rack up stats as a DE than it is as an OLB.

Of course I’m biased, but Hutchinson is a great player, but he didn’t deserve to be there (either did Peppers in 2015 btw) The media hype around him the last two weeks is kinda absurd. If any defensive player should be there it’s Anderson. I haven’t watched a ton of Bama but his stats are absurd.

I just think Walker had to be there. He had an extraordinary year and MSU is probably 6-6 at absolute best without him. And his OL was garbage. If Walker’s game against OSU (hurt) is what keeps him out, Hutchinson’s game against MSU (healthy) should do the same.

Also, Hutchinson is from the next town over and somehow I never heard of him before this year. My high school Econ teacher was his head coach too, which is pretty cool, because he’s probably going #1 or 2 in the draft.

Peppers in 2015 was the worse Heisman Finalist I can ever remember. I don't think he was one of top 4 or 5 members of his own defense that year.

Personally, don't really care much for the Heisman anymore - really it's just to see who is going to be in the commercials next year selling terrible cars.
