Imagine a world where Dave wasn't a bartender at Millers...There is no DMB, Dave Matthews is a performer and singe still. It's still amazing but it isn't DMB.

Side note, is there a video or recording of his version of "What Can I Say" from that night? I can't find one anywhere.

I forgot about this, but I remember thinking it sounded like a Cat Stevens tune...so Dave covering Brandi doing her best version of Yusef...interesting.

We are a house divided on Brandi. I like her as an artist and think some of her songs are amazing. My wife cannot get past her twang and she grew up in a family that often listened to country music (thankfully I did not). We both agree, however, that The Joke is a killer tune and that we'd like her voice even more without the vibrato.
