I don’t think I did. Getting married is one choice. Owning a gun is another. It’s my second marriage so statistically I’m at a greater risk than 50% of getting divorced again. I’m not in any way trying to say that I live my life in 100% agreement with what statistically is safest.
If I get divorced again, life will still go on. The potential consequence wasn’t enough to dissuade me from never marrying again.
If I had a gun and something happened to my kids because of that decision, I don’t know how I could live with that. I don’t think I could. The potential consequences of owning a gun far outweigh the benefit. Those potential consequences are enough to dissuade me from owning one.
