    but i get what you are saying, as an entertainer he had a dramatic effect. but as a musician? what did he do? write good pop music or expand music?

    pop music we know the last 50 years was really developed by the Beatles.

    very true. i would say he and elvis are the biggest music stars ever (as individuals) they did amazing things for the music industry and the spread of music.

    man! I remember being a little girl singing I'll BE There by Jackson 5 and the first time I saw Thriller I was petrified!

    Regardless of his crazy, he was talented and an icon. I cried a little while jamming to Thriller on my way home!
