Yup! He works so well with this band. I think besides obviously Dave that Fonz would be most difficult to replace because of what you said. It would take a lot of practice and skill to play with Carter night in and night out in a live setting.

That about sums twitter. There are always exceptions to the rule, but they are exceptions, not the rule.
I know more people who use Twitter in the same way I use it - as basically an RSS reader - than people who actually post what they had for breakfast. You fail to realize how much more useful Twitter is than subscribing to breaking news texts from whatever news agency be it sports or general news. A breaking news text almost always would arrive well after the tweet. Hell, even app notifications are less efficient than Twitter. I recently disabled a buch of push notifications on my iPhone because I was getting virtually the same tweet notifications well before I'd get the push notification.

Eeeh, not quite. For a time, it was a little rough. But the last couple years have been good. And Rashawn's assistance with arrangements has been refreshing.

Some of the older stuff I'm not as big on with Jeff and Rashawn I'll admit, such as Grey Street or softer songs like One Sweet World. Other songs I think they knock it out of the park, especially if the band rehearses it enough.

edit: Funny how this turned into a Jeff and Rashawn discussion

Yeah... the beginning of OSW is brutal, I will agree with that. I get what they are trying to do - but it doesn't work for my ears. Same with the intro to Seek Up. That said, there were plenty of times where Rashawn and Roi didn't mesh real well either.

People realize that Roi is the one who started to craft the horn sound we hear now, right?

Yes. Roi invited Rashawn. Roi started the horn section and sound.

I like the horn section now, but Jeff and Rashawn have also made it their own. If Roi was still alive the horn section would be a bit different and better in my opinion, more melodic than in your face horns.

You also have a lot harder guitar rock sound which requires a different horn sound.

That intro jam is literally my favorite dmb. It is straight up jazz/jazz fusion.

So i'm assuming my thread was closed due to the existence of this one. These forums are not real friendly to those who don't visit often. My OP was not to troll, but gain perspective on Fonz's comment today on Facebook. That is all.

Pretty sure Fonz was meaning that any time he puts anything on instagram or twitter, it is instantly responded to by hundreds of dmb related items. Usually resulting in people arguing over dmb stuff, example the parking ticket instagram post.

I understand that, he just handled it poorly. And i think he understood that seeing as he removed the comment from Facebook.

Yep. I use it exclusively to follow news outlets, columnists I like etc. as another way to stay informed.

I've never sent a single tweet myself, don't post status updates on Facebook very often etc. (FB I use mainly to keep up with friends and family who live far away, follow some funny pages etc.).

it could be that hello again is similar to two step in that it has a bunch of different parts to it. and the #mynewcampaign thing might be him trying to push to get it played a bunch this summer. that link is dead though, so i can't see what was going on.
