I think the UCF team was the best of the mid-majors in the playoff era. That might have been before the playoffs though.

UC and Kentucky have definitely been the beneficiaries of tOSU becoming a national recruiting power with very little focus on Ohio. They’re very good.

Exactly. This isn’t falling in love with a mid-major cute story like UCF as some others are making it seem for whatever reason. I certainly would think Cincy can beat the likes of OU, Mich, Mich St, Oregon and anyone in the ACC. This is a team that finished highly last year, ranked high preseason, brought back a lot including their QB and coach.

This team should be viewed differently.

UC absolutely deserves to be in the Playoff if they win out. Remember last year Georgia(!) needed a 53 yard FG with 3 seconds left to avoid losing to Cincinnati in the Peach Bowl. They've proven they belong, they've looked good for years now, they beat ND on the road... give them a chance. This is not your average Group of 5 darling that just beats up on inferior competition all year.

What a day!! Went up to East Lansing to tailgate and to watch at a bar with some friends and at about 11:15 convinced ourselves to bite the bullet and buy tickets. I usually like watching the MSU/Michigan game with a friendly group of family friends but figured a top 10 undefeated matchup at home is the time to cross attending the game off the bucket list. What a time!!! Go Green!!

Walker’s touchdowns were almost all him. Michigan’s defensive line dominated. Somehow Walker was able to find wiggle room and just ran with it.

I think Penn State has a really good team this year, especially their defense. It's a shame that because the coaching staff couldn't make sure there was a second QB on the roster who is at least adequate that Penn State's record is not going to reflect how solid their team is.

Agreed... have been very impressed with the defense this whole year. And yes, I think it's very realistic to think PSU's first loss comes last night had they had a suitable backup or a healthy Clifford. Oh well.

That Henderson tho....sheesh. He's the best back they've had in recent years imo, and that's sayin something.

Dont understand why TCU fired Gary Patterson mid-season. Dude's been there for 20 years, at least deserves letting him finish it up. Maybe I missed it, but it makes it seem like something else is going on.

I think TCU would have let Patterson ride it out as long as he wanted in the old Big 12 where it was expected that Oklahoma would win every year - but with Oklahoma and Texas leaving, there's going to be a lot of schools trying to position themselves as a top dog power in the new Big 12. Ceding ground to Texas and Oklahoma is one thing but potentially playing second fiddle to Cincinnati and Iowa state is another - I think you will see a few Big 12 schools trying to improve their standing in the new world order with moves they may not have made otherwise.

My mom texted me on Friday asking my thoughts, and I said the final would be 34-6 UGA. Basically nailed it. I feel like Mullen has lost the team and he’s too egotistical to realize it. He needs wholesale coaching staff changes and a recruiting coup this offseason or his seat will be SCORCHING hot next year.
