Jack Black as Bowser and Kevin Michael Richardson as Kamek are fantastic. I'm excited for the Brian Tyler score as well.

Pratt as Mario sounds... well, I really don't like it. At all. I don't need a Lou Albano or Bob Hoskins, I don't need a Charles Martinet... I just would like something quirky and interesting. Pratt just sounds like himself, and that's really lame. Just my opinion, of course.

Granted, the movie could be brilliant. I'm not hyped because it's Illumination, but I'm hopeful.

Jack Black is good as Bowser. Chris Pratt sounds like he isn't even trying.

    Mario's face looks weird.

This looks very fun. Animation is excellent and most of the voice cast sounds good. I'll reserve judgement on Pratt but he's obviously an uninspired choice. Heard maybe a hint of a BK accent there, will need to hear more to fully render a verdict. To be fair, I wouldn't want a whole movie of Mario's normal voice, but I was expecting something at least a little distinct. Seems like there's enough talent involved around him that hopefully Pratt won't sink the movie if he's not great.

New Super Mario Bros movie trailer.

Ok, there's some really nice fan service.

    ATJ sounds good as Peach.

Charlie Day makes Luigi sound like rusty pliers in the ass. That's Charlie Day, right?

    Mario sounds... better?

Trailer 3 dropped. No link yet, but Pratt's voice is still garbage. But it was a really fun trailer.

That was ok. It was enjoyable, but it had problems. Pratt wasn't the worst voice actor; The Kongs were just awful.

I know why kids love this though.

I saw it's available on iTunes now, but it's $25 to rent?!? I understand the business has changed ever since COVID, but that's like twice as much as buying a ticket in theaters. Just to watch it a couple times and never again.

I saw that the other day and scoffed. I can go see it in theaters for less than that. Maybe it's more to be competitive in the big cities, but they gotta do better.

Then again, I guess for a family of 4 that's a way more digestible price than just me watching it.

The price will eventually come down once the movie is out of theaters.

My girls love it, but they've played Mario Kart with me for a few years now. That said, I'm 43 and I loved it.
