I might have fucked up, all my neighbors put Xmas lights up last week when it was nice. I decided I wanted to wait and do it this weekend. Now everything is covered in 2” of chunky icy snow that I don’t think is melting anytime soon.

Buffalo metro is being spared, but southtowns getting crushed. I have a colleague in Hamburg who has 4' drifts all around her house. Seeing reports that area is closing in on 3' as of this morning, with 2' falling since 2am.

He may not be far off. Mid December is looking like some real potential. If anything, the cold looks to be there.

I'm just hoping late Dec into early Jan offers a chance or two while I'm back home for the holidays. Haven't seen snow since Yosemite in early 2020.

Nothing for 7-10th. There's been some model consensus for Monday-Tuesday next week that's trended a bit colder today. Would bring rain to snow for areas like NY, CT, MA. Not sure if coastal areas would get in on the action, but it's possible.

Monday-Tuesday looks interesting for NYC. It will start out as a rain/snow mix, but a couple models are showing some enhancement Monday night when it gets colder. Other models have it fizzling out, but the Canadian and GFS models are now showing heavy snow in the NYC metro area Monday night.

Definitely something to watch! First real shot at winter weather for the area. Can't count out NE PA into Northern Jersey as well.

this past november was worse than the other snowvember storm we had back in like 2013

think Hamburg, where i live, ended up with just over 80 inches in this storm vs the previous one having 79 inches.

Most of this recent one being in one day too, it was incredible
