According to a reply he’s playing at the “barbershop” for AWS employees. That’s the speakeasy on ground floor. Really cool place (and very small).

This was so cool...and weird! Place seemed empty and some guy just gives him a Jamison on the rocks and then cheers him. Mostly I'm just jealous haha

Very weird. Like, “washed up musician playing in bar corner with no one listening to him” vibes. Not even a peep when third verse of Grey Street came up (unlike the recent political solo shows when folks were still audibly jazzed). And the random request for whiskey mid-set is bizarre. Very not like Dave, but I guess we never know what’s going on up on the big stage.

When I watched the set I was like, damn that crowd could give a f*ck. Dave acted like he was feeling the same thing. He took the check, so he played but I'd assume the DMB tours consist of a majority of diehard fans that offset any quiet crowds (exception: Vancouver). In an instance like this, I actually felt bad for the guy. He was talking about his singing not interrupting the people talking. Yikes.

Good move on the Jamison.

In fact he said he doesn't have much of a taste for it, despite the song.

But, he's also said "i like most liquor but i don't like gin" but now we know he's drinking gin cripplers with his daughters. I guess bottom line is, we can not trust his drinking choices.

Actually thought that was really cool of Dave to get that whiskey. It came in like 10 seconds too. I wonder who/why he played that show. Must have just been one of the few he does a year if the pay is right. He was already out on the road on Monday, might as well do one more?
