Yeah I don't get what their thinking is. Ok, so they'll get a supplemental draft pick next year. But one would think it's smarter to trade him for 2 or 3 prospects that are already being developed in the minors.

deGrom had a set back, more inflammation, and will be shut down for 2 weeks. Will need significant ramp-up when coming back. Early September is a best case scenario now.

There goes the Cy Young and shot at the ERA record. Whole first half we had half the lineup injured, second half we are down to 2 starters. At some point, you have to question the strength/training coaches and the medical staff.

Very, very random but very cool to me, personally.

We had two locals face off yesterday in a double-A game. One is a 22-year-old starting pitcher who has made it to the show already and the other is a 22-year-old 3B on the rise. They faced in a couple ABs, and the one homered off the other. Ironically, they both have the same last name (Kennedy) but are NOT related. Not often two players from the same HS league who have most likely never faced before because of the age difference meet in the minors.
