im fairly certain that most of the time, security doesn't understand the band, or venues, taping policies. They aren't being mean, they are doing what they think is right in regards to their job...

Some of the DMBLive series specifically mention in the marketing blurb that they are uncirculated or previously unknown shows.

I agree this doesn’t automatically make those shows release worthy. But it does indicate some awareness of the taper/trader community on management’s part.

It sucks when that happens but they are enforcing venue policies as they know them to be. I'm sure most of them don't know the specific policies of each artist that plays at the venue.
