Yeah its a two year power rental and major OF upgrade. And we gave away nothing that was remotely MLB ready. Sure one of those prospects could end up being good but come on.

EDIT: Basically anything that gets done without losing Schmidt, Deivi or Dominguez should be considered a win.

Volpe is another one I don’t want to give up, he’s doing a great job in the minors so far

I'll trade prospects for proven MLB level talent every fucking time. No brainer to give up those guys considering the huge hole in the lineup Gallo is gong to fill.

We could’ve went that route in the early 90s but I’m glad we didn’t. It was a rare time period where George Steinbrenner wasn’t impulsive.
