I didn't like how Gomez reacted to hitting the home run off Maholm last year. But McCann threw all that out the window by acting like a jackass and "not letting him touch home plate" or whatever that shit he pulled was.

As a general matter, the "unwritten rules of the game" are stupid as hell. Nobody writes referendums on the state of the game when Alex Ovechkin gives a sliding triple fist pump after scoring a goal or Rob Gronkowski dances like the London Guard after catching a TD. Baseball is entertainment. Apparently, according to these unwritten rules, the only people who aren't allowed to have fun are the people playing the game.
