Re: The surprising early debuts have people fooled

the overplayed point is moot too.

ants is every show and thats in most fans top 5. being in heavy rotation means absolutely nothing.

There are plenty of unheard, less played songs I'd rather hear than Ants, Two Step, Crush, etc for the Xth time. Sorry, maybe it's just me.

I'm laughing my ass off right now. Just checked tonights setlist. Poor spacheads. Think dave is on his bus saying "oh, they wanted us to debut last stop, I thought they said can't stop"
    Hahaha
They tease last stop but debut can't stop, voted worst song in the catalog by us last month.
    Shit is just too funny

i agree but i just thank god the band keeps these songs around... i fear that if they start to replace songs like Ants, Two Step, Crush, etc it will be with Dream Girl, Old Dirt Hill, Stand Up lol

ehh, i disagree to a certain extent. while i like cornbread, and i've been to over 60 shows (60 shows at least, don't let the stats fool you, i dont care enough for them to be accurate) ants is ants, and cornbread is cornbread. id take ants at every show. cornbread on the other hand, while i like it, it doesnt exactly make my top 25 if ya know what i mean

its just people who use the overplayed argument for certain fans not liking cornbread doesnt make sense. a bad song is a bad song.

I really don't see how anybody can be complaining about tonight's set. Yea, people hate Can't Stop, but aside from that this setlist would have been a fantasy 6 months ago.

Just waiting for what would you say and stone to make their debuts. I'm still excited at where this tour is going

I think everyone is forgetting that there are several extremely talented musicians on stage. And while they certainly are playing for fans, they are also playing for themselves. Sometimes true musicians groove to certain songs more than others. Choosing a set list is not all about what the fans want to hear, but about what the band wants to play. If they weren't having FUN playing the songs they chose, the tours would stop. At least I hope money wouldn't be the only motivator... Just as much as we have favorite songs to listen to, the band has favorite songs to play; those favorites may not always match up. Respect the art of music and the process in making it enjoyable for all parties.

OK, lets face it noone will everhear every song they want. Quit bashing the tour. He was supposed to do Halloween last year night 2, but something happened. Hopefully this year at Deer Creek we hear The Last Stop and Halloween. I have never been let down and I am sure several others would agree with me. Be grateful he even comes to Indiana! We might get a huge surprize and if we do then reply. Everyone please retweet this and post it. Quit being ungrateful. Their music is what the summer is about hear. This is about one of the only few things I look forward to all around. Saturday Night is already SOLD OUT, and lets hope friday does also. He will put on a great show and I am sure that we will all hear songs we have heard before, but remember they are the ones performing and there are NEVER two nights that are the same. GO DEER CREEK, and hopefully this gets to the band!!! Quit hating and start getting prepared for two great nights of no worries and great music.

How about this for everyone that thinks they will replace Ants, TB, and others that are played all the time. He's NOT on Tour next year the summer will suck and let's hope to hear Pig, I'll back you up, HALLOWEEN, LAST STOP, and all the others that we haven't heard for years.....lol

Just for the record, I'm not bashing the set or the show at all. I just laughed when I saw that knowing what goes on everyday on the ants boards.
Cry freedom is a top 5 song for me and I'm the last person you will ever hear bashing a show, a setist, or repeats. Been going to these shows since 95, see two a year now as opposed to 6 like I did in the 90's but I really could care less what they play. I just take it for what it is and enjoy every show no matter what's played. I'm probably one of few that enjoys the whole catalog and doesn't care what songs get played. Complaining about this band is like complaining about a blow job. Even when they suck they are still pretty fuckin good

Two Step is my most heard song. I have heard it at 15 of my 22 shows. I don't really need to hear it for awhile.
