I'd rather have 2 shows in a casino than 1 show at that dump in Hartford.

I'm bailing on N1. Cancelled my hotel reservation today. Such BS that they keep moving these shows. Just gonna drive there and back for N2 and head to MSG for the weekend. Probably gonna regret missing N1 but I'll end up saving over $400.

I wish AM.ORG had a Steve Langford type (for you old Howard Stern fans) who could get the story on what really happened with Mohegan and the dates. It'll come out at some point.

As a local this doesn't imapct me but i feel for people that were flying in for Mohegan. Album Promotion is so overrated. They made it rain come tomorrow albums with each concert ticket and every holiday shipping order over 3 cents and the album still had limited buzz and sales. Sure it was #1 but they didn't have any decent opposing albums dropping that week.

They could have kept the dates the same did late night or Sirius XM on Thursday and did MSG Fri/Sat.

I can only imagine the people working at the Warehouse printing these tickets ripping the hair out of their heads. "We ready to ship yet bob? No they changed the date again! AGAIN!?!? AHHHHH" Poster is going to look great too....with 3 dates scratched out at the bottom and written in with a crayon.

Am I missing something? Do we know this has to do with album promotion/an additional event? I was wondering if maybe they just wanted an extra day before two nights at MSG...even though that doesn't seem like a good enough reason to blow stuff up for everyone with tickets.

Thursday 11/11 is also a holiday.. Veterans Day. Maybe not good business for an album promotion? Idk.

    this made me laugh.

I will say posters aren't printed until a week or two before the shows though, so at least that should be fixed.

I doubt it's about an extra day. By this time in the tour they will be slowing down considerably. Also as a Connecticut Resident the Mohegan to New York City trek has to be the closest drive between venues on the tour to my knowledge. Outside of driving the only other method of transport between Mohegan and NYC is Helicopter and even so it's still a short drive.

The truck crew moving the stage parts could make it from Mohegan to MSG in under 3 hours with traffic and logistics of Manhattan. DMB made the decision based on people wanting hotel rates changed being denied so it has to be 100% DMB making this change.

I'm confused what you mean by the bold?

It is strange the date was moved like this so will be interesting to see what the band is doing 11/10 - 11/11 now. On a personal level, it did make me lose a great hotel rate (I went from scoring a room for like $170 with a promo code to $450 with taxes and fees for a new room). Also, I am likely selling 11/09 but now don't know.

Do others agree with me when I say, all else equal, N2s are usually superior to N1s?

I didn't mean an extra day because of distance - I meant so that the band has another day before 2 nights at MSG. Before this change, it would be four full shows in five nights, after a whole tour, with both being indoor venues (maybe there are some extra precautions that need to be taken ).

Durant is Oct 15th and 16th

They they are done for the 2nd half of October

Then Columbus and Grand Rapids Nov 5 and 6
Mohegan for 2 then MSG for 2

It still doesn't make sense why they would need 2 full days between Mohegan and MSG.

Yes and staying at the casino, if you want to drop that $$, is 100% worth it. If not, there's a hyatt right down the road with a shuttle and a couple other places I just can't remember the names too

Thanks just scored N2 8th row in section 2 so I’m in! Can anyone tell me how big the pit is? Should I be good in section 2?

You could fly into Hartford (Bradley) or Providence, RI (TF Green). They are both about an hour away. I believe when I've hosted some conferences by Mohegan, most went with Providence but I guess it's whoever has better airfare at the moment.

almost definitely not. they'll have kiosks for placing bets, though, and games will be on all around.
