Either way, I’ll probably plan on leaving my house around noonish. Maybe closer to 1 if they announce a later time than 2pm.

Mandy: have you heard any explanation as to why Aldean was such a clusterf*ck? my neighbors tried to go, got stuck in a 5 1/5 hour traffic jam, and ended up missing the whole show. they only sell as many tickets as the venue will hold, so it's not like 100,000 descended upon the place like woodstock '99

Yeah, I heard it was bad!
From what I gathered from the FB comments ( ), they didn’t have enough staff working and volunteers were in the lots as well. So I think it was slow getting people in. But the big clusterfuck seemed to be that they closed the entrance when the storms rolled in (staff had to take cover), which caused an insane backup of traffic. I guess he didn’t play until 10:30? And people were just getting in at 11?

It also seems that some are claiming people went just for the lots without a ticket (I barely want to go there with a ticket. Why the duck people would do that is beyond me) and they were trying to park people down at the Pepsi Roadhouse.

Sounds like a lot of people didn’t make it in at all.

Hopefully it was all weather related. I’m probably going to get there by 8am to be safe.

The web site says lots open 2 hours before gates open - but they don't tell you what time gates open?

So I'm assuming it's something like 7:30pm show, gates at 5:30pm (?), lots at 3:30pm?

typically it's gates at 6; however, they change this stuff all the time for specific shows. I reached out to them on facebook messenger but of course got no response.

I figured "two hours before showtime," so normally 6, but showtime is listed as 7:30pm this year, so i backed it up a half hour. No idea if those assumptions are correct or not. But appreciate anything you find out. Thx.

On the venue website, under Day Of Show, it's Jason Aldean, which was last Friday but it says parking lot opens at 2pm. Gates at 6pm.

Here's our plan if anyone wants to join.

Going to meet at the Shop N' Save in Imperial around 3ish and hang there until the lots open.
Head over when they open and try to get in the front left lot.

Anybody planning to hit RailBird Fest after Starlake? I have my tickets for railbird on the resale site, and as the show approaches still trying to find a way to go. I have two, 2 day railbird tickets and parking passes for both days if anyone from the StarLake crew is feeling it. Worst case I'm just going to go for it. In which case I might have one extra pass,lol. My wife definitely can't make railbird with me.

I've never gotten a reliable time for the lots opening. It seems to change every year. I think the official line is 4:00, but I've seen them open way earlier than that.
