yeah theres really not much logic behind banning the DH besides nostalgia. If you have a pitcher who can rake, the DH doesnt stop him from batting.

The NCAA is not a better product than the NBA. That's just stupid. The tournament may be more exciting than NBA playoffs, but it's not a better product.
Pitchers would train to hit if there was no DH
Not saying they'd hit .300, but they wouldn't stand there looking unathletic.

I’m a purest. All players should bat and play in the field.

Both teams pitchers have to bat so competitively its a wash. But when a pitcher does get a hit it’s a cool thing. Plus some pitchers can bat better than others.

I also like the aspect of pitchers facing each other and what that brings and the extra game management no DH brings to managers actually managing and impacting the game.

It kinda does: the DH can only be used for the pitcher. You can have the pitcher hit, but then cannot use a DH later in the game

I think the NBA is creating a mess for itself with all of the "weird" free agency stuff, imo. In turn, despite having better individual components, the overall product is inferior, imo.

i enjoy watching NCAA basketball much more than NBA...5 man offense and team defense is much more prevalent...not nearly as much 1-on1 isolation

that being said, obviously the NBA athletes are much bigger, fast, stronger and more athletic

And really no one is debating the bold. But bigger, more athletic, etc doesn't make the game better to watch (as you noted)

First, off, 80% of the teams in the NBA are just trash to begin with. The league is so damn unbalanced it's ridiculous. 5-6 years in a row you've been able to just write in the Warriors and not even think about it. Why even play the 82?

Second, there's no "team" anything in 90% of the league. You have 1-2 guys who are studs and the rest is a supporting cast of mediocre players who are just there to take up space and occasionally pick up the ball when it bounces away from one of the good players.

Any league with super teams and only like 5 teams in the whole league with any shot of sniffing a run to the finals is just not worth it for a casual fan.

you're just seeing the byproduct of bigger and better athletes

i enjoy seeing the organized man-to-man switching and 5 man unit playing a disciplined 2-3 zone in the NCAA...you just don't get much, if any, of that in the NBA

yea and it's not like i'm even hating on the NBA at all, i just enjoy the college game much more for a number of reasons
