DMB Grammy Museum Exhibit Pictures

I saw this on Facebook. Note, these are not my pictures. They were posted by Jen Friedhof.

This is so cool!! Thank you for passing these photos along. (And please thank Jen if you talk with her.) It's really neat to see all this stuff. Hope I can get out there to see it in person while it's up!

    Great photos. Thanks for posting.

Didn't realize that they beat out Oasis and the Pumpkins for a Grammy.

Would have been apropos if they won a Grammy for Granny.

In scrolling through the pics, I definitely saw Boyd references. One picture/note stated that he left the band (which is kinda bullshit since he was clearly forced out).

Yeah there is a part on Boyd. Just no gear.

The coolest thing I saw was the Piedmont Park setlist. Looks like he started to write “Falling” for “Falling Off the Roof” on the right side.

I donated the above Tripping Billies lyric sheet to the band 6-7 years ago. Glad to see that they put it to some use. As far as I know it's one of only 2 copies of original typed lyric sheets that are known to still exist. Dave and a friend put together demo kits to send out to record labels in the very early 90's. "David" filled his demo kits with 2 head shots, 9 lyric sheets and 2 demo cassettes that each had his name and phone number typed on them.

Somehow they accidentally missed my name in the thank you section.

That was awesome of you to donate the lyric sheet; especially since it was super rare! That one definitely stood out to me when I was scrolling through the pictures. Bummer indeed that you didn't get credit in the thank you section, lol. It would have been really cool to have your name on that list. But I'm sure they appreciate you all the same for what you did.

And if they don't appreciate it, you could always break the glass, take it back, and simply leave a note in its place that says, "A thank you would have been nice!"

That one guitar was auctioned off a few yrs back I thought, or was on eBay or something.
I recall seeing it signed and labeled being played

This is great, thanks for sharing. I doubt I'll ever get over to the US to see the exhibition so this is the next best thing.

Glad everyone is enjoying the pics! There were a few cool tidbits I didn’t know and I loved being able to see everything closeup! Bummer that they left out your credit though, Carson :/

Went to check this out while I was in LA this past weekend for the Utah/USC game.

Really fucking awesome stuff. So cool to see it all, but it was particularly cool to see Crush/Stay/Billies/WIA original draft lyrics on a notepad and the calendar/cadence of them building the songs in the studio. The setlists were great, guitars, Roi's sax and PW Flute.... Just very cool to visit as a big DMB fan. Highly recommended to anyone heading to LA.
