Last time you listened to Halloween?

Not counting seeing it live - actually turning the song on, or not skipping it in the car/at home and leaving it on throughout the entire song.

I never listen to newer versions of this song. Absolute abomination. Cant stand tim's alien noises.

Halloween is one of those songs that I will rarely single out to play but I will also even more rarely skip when it comes on

Last time you listened to Halloween?

3.0-4.0 versions are hard to listen to for me. Too much Tim/obnoxious alien sounds, lack of that haunting violin sound, and most importantly - Dave’s vocals and lyrics nowadays are weak to me. His “improv” lyrics are garbage and his powerful/angry voice just isn’t as good as it used to be.

To answer OP’s question, I just listened to the LT 39 Halloween a few days ago. So good.

Re: Last time you listened to Halloween?

I love the song particularly between the 1990s and early 2000s. Even 2008 had some great performances as well as 2011.

Roseland 1995, 10/31/96, 5/15/98, 10/31/98, 12/4/00, the gorge 2002, MSG 2005, 8/16/08, 6/13/09, and the 2011 caravan versions have been my go to over the years. Anything past 2011 I don’t really care for, but I’ll still listen to them if I download the tape. The one from WPP in 2015 was actually a pretty good modern version https://youtu.be/Ghooy97BVt0

That msg 05 version is crazy good, my favorite live lyrics by far. I listen to that version usually once a week.
The 95 roseland is also great, that's one of my favorite shows.
