I don't like the current versions of Jimi Thing, they seem to drag on too long.
I like the older versions like Listener Supported. One of my favorites.

I think thats how Jimi should be played.

Jimi Thing is only as good as you make it... and Alpine 2010 made it awesome so my vote goes there.

I like the Yoshi's version because of it's just really chill and nice to listen to with the What Will Become of Me outro. Other than that, CP is excellent. But Alpine N2 was the best I've witnessed and one of the most fun times I've ever had at a show.

Alpine's was so much fun, and probably the best I've seen. This video always makes me laugh, they were having so much fun on stage that night: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jojZlOrLElg

I don't think so either. There's this one, and I'm sure it's already been mentioned on here, where the ending is really slow and jazzy and I'm pretty sure it was from the early 90s. If I could find that one, it would probably be my favorite. Either that or Central Park.

Yeah the Vandy Jimi was really awesome too, that show overall was just awesome. As a long time vandy fan i can say that's the most fans i've seen in Vandy's football stadium in a long time

Jimi Thing is best when Rashawn is on it. Hence, a recent one.

Ummm....no one else going with the OP? I definitely am. Trey absolutely dominates on the Warehouse version and it is honestly one of the most funky creative solos I've ever heard Roi do. Probably one of my very favorite Roi solos overall. Very melodic.

Not a big fan of the more recent versions although I was at SPAC when we sang the entire first two verses (the first time actually I think I have only missed 3 SPAC shows ever ) cause Dave "missed it"... so we sang it for him...

Sexy MF - seen it about 5 x... This one is best cause there's a little scatting going on

    Don't worry

Now if someone doesn't dig the crowd singing the verses, or the Sexy MF outro, or the Thank You outros, or Boyd's solos, or Tim's solos, or Dave's scatting, I understand. I like most of these aspects, but I can see how someone wouldn't.

But Jeff and Rashawn's solos are just phenomenal. And their interplay is outstanding as well. If you don't enjoy these aspects, fine. But good luck trying to argue that they're musically poor.

Only thing I don't like is the crowd singing instead of Dave. I don't really care for the scats either but they don't bother me as much. BT destroyed Jimi this year, it was awesome.
