the problem with pyramid schemes, or why they are so tempting, is that some people actually do make money. if literally nobody made money they'd be easy enough to dismiss; however I have a neighbor who got in on the ground floor of beach body "coaching" and pulls down over a million a year (they also have the most absolutely garish pool/backyard situation I have ever seen, just a complete and total eyesore. palm trees in pittsburgh. yikes).

First of all, what is a shit ton of money?

Second of all, did he/she end up losing money because of the the clothes in the basement or did he/she still come out on top?

There’s a house near me (well, on my way to the middle school) that also has palm trees around their pool.

Yeah my wife got suckered into selling Monat hair products. Friend of ours got in on the ground floor and has made lots of money, convinced my wife she could do the same. She has not I think she broke even or sells enough so that she gets her product for free. As we were watching the lularoe doc she kept saying "its the exact same phrases and wording they use at monat".

Also how tf do palm trees survive in PA?? We had the freeze here in Feb and everyone I know that had a palm tree lost it.

I work for a software company that builds apps for MLM companies. And this is so true. The people at the very very top make a LOT of money (and often times are extremely delusional). And everyone beneath them sees that and wants that, but rarely will it work out that way. It's also a pretty strange network of people 'at the top' who will spin off and create new companies over and over again. Very small world once you get a peek at the inside.

I've watched 4 episodes and personally do not find it scary and I'm a huge wimp with that stuff. there are a couple of "jump" scares, but nothing crazy. I'd categorize it more as creepy than scary.
