Packers and Pro-Bowl CB Jaire Alexander are finalizing a 4-year, $84 million contract extension, per source. Deal includes $31 million in 2022 - a DB record of $30 million in signing bonus. Alexander will receive $42.5M by March. @JohnThornton of @RocNationSports confirmed deal.

Jaire Alexander’s new deal averages $21 million per year, a new mark for DBs. It ties him to Green Bay through 2026 season. Alexader broke a bone in his shoulder in week four last year, and played only eight plays in playoffs. Packers still identified him as a core young player.

Sterling Sharpe and Mike Holmgren make the first cut for the Pro Football HOF.

Holmgren was the best. Miss him. Sharpe’s career was cut way too short.

Pretty much. He knew he'd never get that opportunity with Ron Wolf here. He thought he could do both jobs and wasn't the worst at it. Got the Seahawks there and should have won the SB that year. He deserves to be in the HOF because there are less accomplished coaches already in there.

Sharpe was (arguably) the best WR in the NFL for a few seasons and was the first to become a regular 100 catch a season player. I regret him not getting 5-7 more seasons playing with Favre and getting a ring.

Didn't watch much of the game after the Doubs TD catch. That was fun to see, though.

Jenkins, Tonyan and Hill all off the PUP! Great to see them all making good progress. Really concerned for Bahk. I'm not overly optimistic on what may end up being a career altering (ending??) injury at this point. Just brutal for him and obviously for us. Hope he proves me wrong!

Bahk off the PUP and Watson participating in team drills yesterday is a nice step forward. Hopefully Watson can get some reps in the last pre season game. He's got a lot of catching up to do!
