I watched Patriot Games for the first time over the weekend. Definitely nothing special and it has that typical early 90's feel to it. Interesting to see a glimpse of the IRA stuff though. I know very little about that time period in the UK other than being aware that the IRA was basically a terrorist organization it seemed.
I also watched the new 4K UHD blu-ray of Top Gun last night. I'm not sure I had ever seen the full unedited version since I had probably only ever seen it on TV before. Probably not many differences other than a few swear words and a couple instances of the middle finger. The movie looked and sounded great on 4K UHD. It definitely benefited from having Dolby Atmos sound with the jet sounds going all over the place. Also, does anyone know how that movie was rated only PG?
Had at least PG-13 not been invented yet or what? Not only because of the cursing in it, but there is definitely a mild sex scene in the middle of it that shows a ton of gratuitous tongue action during at least some portrayal of actual sex happening. The 80's were so messed up with their rating system.
