I'm doing Copenhagen, Stockholm and Oslo. As of now, by myself, so if anyone wants to meet up for those shows, PM me!

You're in a foreign country and the venues are tiny. My advice would be to explore Prague....doesn't matter if you're rail. You can do that anytime in the states.

It depends. Last time at Brussels there were 10 people by 4pm. At Dusseldorf there were 30-40 people by 1pm. I get to shows at 9-10am and am always basically first in line. Get there by 10am anywhere in Europe and you're guaranteed to be first 10.

Really looking forward to seeing the whole band again, despite no Boyd, they seem to be having great fun on stage!
Not that it’s surprising, but am I right in saying none of the dates has sold out yet?

I'll only be in Lisbon, but for the week. Stefan asked people on Twitter what they wanted to hear on the European tour. Busted Stuff and American Baby!

As the tour is here in T minus 5 I was starting to get anxious about any tapers confirmed?

Naomi Yemini covered almost the entire European tour the last time around back in 2015.

Anyone who's heard from him or Sergey this time around?

I'm going to 12 shows total.

    Munich
    London x2
    Hamburg
    Berlin
    Warsaw
    Prague
    Vienna
    Padua
    Bologna
    Assago
    Lisbon

I first began to listen to DMB back in 2005/2006 and went on three Euro tours so far. This one will be my biggest one yet. I also met Dave two years ago.

Anyone planning to go to the show in Bologna (Unipol) April 1? Should I expect a tailgate set-up like at US shows that I will be able to wander around and meet people?

I will be there ( and @ Padua and Milan shows).
I did 2 full band shows in Italy ( Florence and Padua ) in 2015.
Much smaller draws, much more chill (standing only on the floor) and no tailgating. No lines at the merch. Both venues I was at in 2015 had large food trucks outside the venue selling food and beer before and after the show where you will meet other fans especially if you let it be known how far you traveled for the show. Not sure about Bologna venue (first time band playing Bologna). As you probably know the venue is outside the city center. IMHO better to eat in the city even if that means an early dinner. Way more choices in a city known for its food.

It's too bad we rarely ever get reviews on here of European gigs. I'm curious how Mercy sounded with Buddy on keys. That ending jam could be interesting with a competent piano player soloing instead of Dave playing the same few notes for five minutes straight.

For french readers, a new interview with Dave Matthews :
    https://www.telerama.fr/musique/dave...n,n6154552.php

I'm not translating everything but :

    Quote:
    The music of your childwood?
--> The Beatles ("A Collection of Beatles Oldies")
First album he bought was "Magical Mystery Tour" when he was 10.

The first song learned on the guitar?
--> Father and son by Cat Stevens

The musician who made you want to make music your job?
--> Peter Gabriel & Joan Armatrading

The concert that made you want to go on tour?
    -->Queen (NY 1982 when he was 14).

    Your favorite souvenir on stage?
--> 1995, opening for the Grateful Dead.

The musician you would dream to play with?
    -->Abdullah Ibrahim

The charity concert or political meeting that has struck you the most?
--> 2001, backstage at a charity concert for the Tibet. He met David Bowie there who told him how much he loved The Stone.

This is really interesting. I wonder if Bowie was actually familiar with DMB's discography, and told Dave he loved The Stone, or if after watching Dave's set at that show (DM performed The Stone and Everyday) he said something like, "Hey man, I really loved that first song you played today." It would be interesting to know if Bowie was actually a fan.

I’m West London DMB fan of 20 years. Those going to Hammersmith Eventim, should head to The Rutland Arms pub pre gig for a great bit of London life, beer, food and pretty river views. 5 minute walk to the venue. Maybe see you there!

My French isn’t great anymore but he essentially said that Bowie came up to him after he played the Stone and asked him “what was that great song? I love how you play the guitar”
