It's great. You get the bikers sitting next to the guys in business suits next to the students from SU next to death metal fans next to blues fans next to etc.

Best best best BBQ food in all the land...not to mention it has the BEST live music (usually blues) and their own brews.
My personal fave is their homemade tomato-cucumber salad, and their grilled chicken platters are to die for. Im not big into ribs or pork, but those who are say it is the BEST.
It is very unique...it attracts the biker crowd but best of all, it's extremely welcoming to everyone. Its one of those places that just makes you feel "at home." I spent my 21st bday here...and every bday therafter (except this past year because i was at spac). Its a guaranteed good time!
Sounds like a great time, I just put my request in to Tricia, she is my DMB winter tour event coordinater , so I can't wait to meet all you wonderful ants

I'd have to disagree with this. In the past, you're right, but this summer I went to the one in Roch once and the one in Syr three times, and every time I felt like I was being rushed and my business wasn't really wanted. Given, I'm sure they ARE in a rush, but still lately I definately think this place is going downhill. Oh, and the food isn't as good as last year.

you dont go there on a date hoping to gaze into each others eyes and have long, meaningful talks.
its loud, its obnoxious, its tacky...its freaking great.
And chances are, they DONT care about your business...they have 5823957938769437 people waiting in line for table, they'll get by with or without you.

Yeah, that's what I mean. But it's been much worse this year than in years past. Before you could actually enjoy your meal whereas it seems this year that they want you to scarf down your meal so they can get you in and out (once again, I know that is what they're doing, it's just that they weren't always like that, even just a year ago they would let you eat in peace).

Also, I heard that Syracuse has a new BBQ place that's better than Dinosaurs, but I can't remember it's name. Near the Great Northern Mall I think.

Thats Smokey Bones. It's very good, but, it's no Dino BBQ.

we're actually contemplating taking the ferry for the Canadian date...just to check it out...but I think they offer packages starting at $99/person that includes roundtrip ferry tickets and a hotel room at the Marriot or Sheraton or something.

damn, that's a ways out....that'll be about a 45 minute drive with traffic.

Oh, and before when I said Hilton hotel...I meant Hyatt....just fyi to those of you looking for hotels.

I'll be shacking up at my house that night. Now the question is, do I blow my vacation time, and take Thursday off (since I'm already taking Mon/Fri. off for DMB/U2) or do I save it and roll it over for next year, and quite possibly a west coast vacation (that includes the Gorge)

So unfortunately, the summer tour wore me kinda thin as far as cash flow, so i have to settle on 1 or maybe 2 shows this tour (although I would love 4 to be my magic number!). Put the four venues in a hat and pulled out state college and rochester.

my bro's fiancee's bro went to school at RIT, my friend's bf of 3 years went there, yet i have never been to rochester. It's only about 3 hours from me.

So I guess I'll be visiting Rochester this year. Hopefully I can do it with State College too!

blue cross looks like a great venue, i've never been to rochester, so i'm pumped, too!

i would love to meet up with some ants! been to several shows and still haven't met up with any yet. i may be travelling alone to this show, at least, i'd rather travel alone - no one else to worry about. i love just randomly travelling by myself... so i can meet up with whoever and do whatever. i prefer it... anyway. we should plan a place to meet up!

I'll be coming WITH 2 other ants, as well as 2 non-ants. We don't know where yet, but we plan on partying together!
