Re: **Official Huntsville 2022**

Looks like I'll be working Reverb for this show. I'm really excited to see this venue in person just based on the renderings I've seen. Is there any parking in the area for this venue? I've passed through Huntsville but never driven around it.

I was going solo and ended up having something come up. I have a reserved seat in section 203. Paid $147 through the warehouse if you decide you want a seat, I’ll make you a deal.

Seats 8 thousand people. Just grabbed a front row of first level by sound board (think 107). Center. Looking forward to it. Gonna make drive from Nashville. Just a random decision.

Just a few seats remaining at this point. Essentially a sell out,

I take that back, there are actually a decent amount of seats remaining. Including floor front row for face value,

Anyone have the feeling this could be one of the better sets of the tour? New venue that's never been played and a no old setlists to hamper what gets played. Also, with it underselling, I could see DMB playing a sick show there just to troll.

Yeah, what's up with that? A few weeks it was the first "sell out" of the tour, now there are plenty of seats left on their official website.

I'm glad there are a few shows ahead of DMB. Hopefully they can work the kinds out.

I live in Nashville, but have a friend that lives in Huntsville and he drove by it recently and thought it looks like there is a lot still to do around the venue (including parking). Hopefully they get it all ironed out.

I work in Huntsville and drove by yesterday at lunch. You’d have no clue they open in a week just driving by. As best as I can tell the lots for parking are nonexistent. Appears to be some little pavilion outside that they erected in just the last week. Going to see Jason Isbell there next Friday so hopefully I’ll have something positive to report.

I'll definitely be curious to hear how Jason Isbell goes for you. You can buy $10 parking on this site:

    https://www.parkjockey.com/en-us/homes/event/166115

But it also lists other parking options nearby that are "pay at location" ... but one appears to just be the mall parking lot? If it's the mall, I wonder if there would be a charge at all for that.

I bought a $10 pass there a few days ago and just noticed that they have that area designated as a mall. Mid City is a mall in the loosest sense of the word lol. There’s a few restaurants and a Dave & Busters, REI, and a Top Golf, but they are all free-standing at the moment. If I had to guess, they will block off portions of the lot on show days and designate it for concert parking or something along those lines. That entire area is still largely under construction and is probably still at least 6 months away from what the city wants it to be. Will hopefully be able to paint a clearer picture next week after the Jason Isbell show.

Got pits for the first time, and I wanted a refresher on where to be and what time to line up to get in. Since it's a new venue, I was curious where we might need to get in line. And if I recall, they open gates around 6 for those lined up for pits for the rush to begin.

Want to periodically keep us updated on this? Might be lame, but I’d rather not travel for a show and have to walk around construction buoys and through a dust cloud created by cars driving through the incomplete parking lot. Doesn’t seem like it would be good for the energy of the show,

Actually, just found this. Article from yesterday has some pics of the venue.Looks like a lot of work to be done https://www.al.com/news/huntsville/2...ion-venue.html

It looks like it's shaping up to be a nice little spot. I can't wait to see it in person.

Based on what I saw today, I think that things should be in good shape. In terms of the logistics of getting into the lots, they’ve created a new exit along route 255 (Research Park Blvd) that’s called Mid City Way. If you get off there, it will spit you out right at the front of the venue where the paid lots are. I’m sure there are alternate routes into the venue, but that appears to be the most direct path.

Just wanted to mention this because I’m exponentially more optimistic about things being ready than I was just a week ago.

Here tonight for the Jason Isbell show. This place is an absolute dream! Will post more details later, but this is the most excited I’ve ever been for a DMB “home show”. I’m attaching a pic with how things look. This is section 202 row P. You can kind of see the pit in case anyone was curious about size. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...cadd9c6b08.jpg

Jason Isbell & the 400 Unit played until 12:15 AM, so unless they requested a special exemption, it would appear as though this venue doesn’t have a curfew, but watch DMB finish at like 10:30 or something lol.

The venue was absolutely incredible. The merch stand is the very first thing you see as you walk up, and I’m assuming this was just for this show, but they actually had the poster artist on site creating prints there in-person. The only vending options actually inside the venue are alcohol; they have multiple beer stands, as well as a whiskey bar, tequila bar, wine bar, hard seltzer bar, and probably something I missed. For food, they have what is essentially a food truck village outside with a variety of stuff (including a vegan truck if that is your thing). Some of those can take a bit to get your food, so if you come hungry plan to get there early to budget enough time for food. Getting in and out of the lots was incredibly easy, the sound was top-notch, and I truly don’t think there is a bad seat in the house. Looking forward to Wednesday and having a great time with everyone!

DMB has been 7:45 to 10:35~, yes. That will not change unless there is a big mess like Deer Creek N2 2021 when thousands were stuck outside due to the rush to get in and the band went on at 8.
