Just giving people a heads up, but tickets are on sale tomorrow. AMC is releasing them at 12:01 am EST, I’m not sure about other chains. So you may wake up to your theater being sold out, but hopefully this avoids hour long ques like Endgame had.

Saw a trailer with this with Dr. Strange, Dr. Ock and so forth, so plenty of MCU characters apparently in the movie. I think Tom Holland's brother is in the film, too.

I checked periodically during the night and it was a complete mess. Thankfully I got some acceptable seats for IMAX.

Amy Pascal, who's the main Sony producer on these films, told Fandango they are going to keep making movies with Marvel Studios: https://www.fandango.com/movie-news/...der-man-754461

    Quote:
Fandango: You know, as you wrap up this trilogy of films in collaboration with Marvel Studios…

Amy Pascal: Can I say something about that?

    Fandango: Sure.

Amy Pascal: This is not the last movie that we are going to make with Marvel – [this is not] the last Spider-Man movie. We are getting ready to make the next Spider-Man movie with Tom Holland and Marvel, it just isn't part of… we're thinking of this as three films, and now we're going to go onto the next three. This is not the last of our MCU movies.

Fandango: It’s great to know that this collaboration is going to continue.

Amy Pascal: Yes, Marvel and Sony are going to keep going together as partners.

Fandango: Do you think we’ll ever see Tom’s Spider-Man in a movie not connected to the MCU?

Amy Pascal: We all want to keep making movies together. How’s that for an answer?

I feel like I'm going to have to watch all 7 Spider-Man movies as a leadup to this one. I'm not sure I've seen Spider-Man 3 or ASM2 since my initial theater viewing.

Oh I'm not concerned either. I feel like the appearances are going to be nods to those films as opposed to anything that would require extensive background on them, I just sort of want to watch them all.

Just got my ticket. Showcase Theater added more showings on Dec 16th after initial showtimes sold out.

I don't think i could go a day without getting spoiled by the internet or word of mouth.

The presales for Spider-Man: No Way Home, which opens on Dec. 17, outstripped the first day advance ticket sales of Black Widow in two hours time, that Disney/Marvel movie previously owning the online ticket retailer’s best record of 2021.

The first day presales for Spider-Man: No Way Home are higher than those for pre-pandemic titles such as Avengers: Infinity War, Spider-Man: Far From Home, Star Wars: The Last Jedi, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story and Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.

3d is garbage I think Dr Strange was the last MCU movie I did 3D at. No word yet on post credits but I would be shocked if there wasn’t.

i'm just excited to see toby and dafoe. but man, doc ock and hsi story line is probably the best thing in any marvel movie. rami did him good, realll damn good. hope they actually use some real effects for some of his arms in this movie like rami did and hope it's not all CGI spiderman garbage (cgi in the disney spidey films just hasn't been good IMO)

Vulture was the villain in Homecoming. Dimitri Smerdyakov is the name of the Chameleon. Far From Home featured an associate of Fury named Dimitri. They left themselves wiggle room for it to not be him, but he’s working with a bunch of skrulls.

I'd had my license for all of two weeks when I drove to see Tobey's Spider-Man in theaters. If someone had explained to me afterwards that this movie would exist almost 20 years later, I'd be just as likely to believe that the Sorcerer Supreme was real.

It gets said a lot with these movies, but what a time to be alive.
