Re: Enormous: The Gorge Story

"Still working on it..." as of last October. They clearly don't have any sort of deadline. Maybe they are still shopping it around looking for a good distribution deal. Maybe they are waiting for something else they want to film and include? Who knows.

I watched both of these clips interviewing the director and producer - between the producer calling 'Dave Matthews a pacific NW artist like Pearl Jam', saying the sound at the top of the bowl is just as good as the lower bowl, and claiming the venue has a 30k capacity.. I feel like they didn't dig deep enough into the history to make a documentary about it.

'The gorge is because a dam in Canada broke and sent massive amounts of water into that area and carved the gorge into planet earth'.

Am I confused or did a geologist troll these guys? The Missoula floods in the 1920s did not carve the gorge into planet earth. What is happening?

Looks like it’ll be playing in select theaters nationwide 4/28, the theater near me is a Regal so I wouldn’t guess it’ll be difficult to find one. $15 each.

Kind of off topic, but Rashawn just posted a rehearsal snippet on his Instagram story. It sounds like Recently’s jam section.

The Gorge is an amazing place that I’ll always have a deep connection with for some reason. Last year summer in the midst of some crazy turmoil in life I hit the road and drove to The Gorge from RI to play on the Cave B stage and shoot this performance.

    https://fb.watch/6P-mNBnmxf/

Still can’t believe this is something in my life that happened.
I’ll definitely be checking this movie out!

Wish this was showing closer than 3hrs aways. Pretty sure I chipped in like $20 when this was first getting started years ago.

It was a decent documentary, but not great. It was pretty obvious the narrative suffered from the production delays. It did have some cool interviews with old musicians and a good recap of the history of the place, though. But by the end it just seemed like a DMB Family production.

My theater here in Knoxville is charging $17 to see it on a regular screen, no imax, etc. They have a Thursday showing here too and regular evening admission to a Hollywood movie is $12. I want to see it, but I'm wondering if it's worth the higher admission price. What do those who've seen it think?

In short, it's about the history of the venue. Not DMB, DM, Pearl Jam, etc.

Hard no. Go buy a $17.00 drink at a show instead.

Or go see Space Jam 2.
