Here is the Difference

"I totally agree!! I have contacted RLM, even a note to Dave in the gift of the Roi pendants I made, I have even twittered him. But I just get no response. I am sure Dave could care less about the money, but I offered to dentate a % to the Bama works and still no word. I really don't know what else I can do. I get the feeling that because I am so small and cannot mass produce anything and make such a small profit, that they are just going to ignore me. Each piece is hand made, so it is the same as t-shirts in respect to the trademarked Firedancer, but I cannot mass produce them. I can't make 100 or heck even 20 at a time, it just doesn't work that way.I feel very much like the tattoo artist. How do they get away with doing tattoos? I mean I have one ( which I love!! ), and the subject of copyrights never came up. I commissioned him to do the tattoo and thats pretty much what happens with the jewelry. You make one for one person, and before you know it everyone wants one. I do enjoy it and playing with new ideas and different techniques is always fun. Like the xmas ornaments I am working on. When I started playing with glass it was just for me. I wanted to make things for my garden. Well you get one person who asks you if you could make a FD stepping stone............ and before you know it years later you are making all kinds of things in your spare time. I may have been better off just saying no, and never showing other Dave heads what I had made, but I couldn't help but share. Again believe me I wish I could find a way to give Dave or I'm sure he would prefer, Bama works, a cut. If there is someone that is a business lawyer or has an "in" with the band and could help me out, email me! I would appreciate it!! Also after 110 shows and counting I don't think anyone can deny my love for this band and the fact that I am a true fan. Not like the guys selling t-shirts with the wrong tour dates on them! peace!!"
