not taking anything away from what the packers did in the 60's. bravo. small town with a bunch of titles. titletown circa 1960's

almost a half a century later there's a different town that's won 17 titles in basketball alone. 7 championships combined in the 4 major sports in the past decade.

if the rangers, yankees, knicks, and jets all win championships over the span of a decade i'll call NY titletown...fact is that they arent and neither is green bay.

officially if you type in title town in google you'll get a wiki site saying that titletown is green bay because of what they did in the 60's...someone needs to update it because compared to boston, they havent done shit since. one superbowl title with the run favre had and last years championship doesnt match up to the 3 the pats have in the 2000's, let alone the 7 the town has in the last decade

I just don't see why Boston or any other city insists on having to resort to brandishing a successful sports run by using the moniker "Titletown." For all intents and purposes, that label is distinctive to and has been trademarked by the Green Bay Packers. I won't deny that Boston's run over the last decade is has impressive as any we've ever seen, so why not just revel in that rather than choosing to alienate other fan bases?

Feel free to label Boston as the "Best Sports City" or use any other witty wordplay you can come up with. I have no problem with such a display of pride...my problem is with the semantics. "Titletown" is reserved for the pioneers of the term.
