Incorrect. They said quite awhile ago now that Spiderman:Homecoming 2 (obviously just working title) picks up the story right after Avengers 4, and they mean RIGHT after. Like I think it's literally going to be within 24 hours of whatever the end A4 events are to whatever events start off Spidey (which only makes further sense considering how they've been open on Homecoming 2 branching out into a more international landscape.
The time line thing admittedly does confuse me a bit. I mean Feige and the Russos owned up on how some post-production lackey just plain screwed the pooch in putting "8 YEARS LATER" up on the screen instead of 6 and no one higher up on the chain noticed til it was too late. But the long term Spiderman thing makes it even more confusing, and that didn't even hit me at all until I saw others discussing it no more than couple weeks ago. This whole fundamental idea of Marvel's for the Spidey franchise having each subsequent sequel be a year of high school, well that's already screwed up. But you can be damn sure if there's on particular studio who has the best chance of organically and (relatively) logically dealing with, it is Marvel Studios.
and now with the fact that Vulture's still gonna be hanging around (much smaller in scope), it doesn't take just an uber-comics nerd to see that they at least have the Sinister Six very much on their mind.
