Not sure if this was ever posted following Roi's passing, but I just read it, and felt like sharing...cant help but shed a tear every time I either read something about it, or listen to a few of the songs that made him shine...

Good read. Reading this makes me feel that the rest of the band is putting some real effort in honoring their dear friend with this album. I cannot believe reading what dave said about roi that they would do anything but that.

I wish this article would have popped up here when some where moaning about the delay to june. It may have shed some light into why the guys are working so hard and taking their time.

Thank you for sharing the article with us. I really didn't know much about Roi personally. I could only get a sense of him through his music. My interpretation of him was correct though....a kind and sweet soul.

Wow is right..what a great story..this one also got me..so true too..

I always thought that if they gave Roi more space to work with, he could single handedly bring back good DMB albums. Who knows now.

I have not seen this article yet, it is nice to see a little bit more of Roi's personality through the stories that were told. I have seen plenty of youtube video's of DMB with Jeff Coffin, but I still think the first time I see them without Roi it will feel a little different.

I feel the same. I love Jeff, and I'm looking forward to seeing him this spring, but I know that those first couple of songs are going to be tough to watch without Roi there on stage left.
