Wishing I'd taken them over the Jets in Week 2.

According to my league settings, Team Rankings says that Houston is the #1 pick this week, but that has to factor in rebuys. They're far too risky otherwise. Team Rankings has also been reliable in the past, but I would've lost twice already if I'd blindly followed their picks this season (Colts in Week 1 and 49ers in Week 4). They've got the Saints and Cowboys ranked #2 and #3 this week. Cardinals and Steelers round out the top 5.

I'm really stressing Week 6. No second chances afterwards, and it's a pretty tough slate. I'm leaning Ravens over Eagles on the road because I can live with be knocked out by picking the Ravens. Can't say the same for picking the Chargers (vs Jets). And there's nothing I've seen to indicate that the Cowboys are worth picking over the Cardinals. That's essentially a coin-flip to me.
I already used my Ravens pick (Ravens, Seahawks, Colts, Rams).

Excluding those teams, Team Rankings shows the following to have the highest Week 6 win percentage odds:

    Chargers (vs Jets) - 75%
    Titans (vs Texans) - 67%
    Chiefs (@ Bills) - 65%
    49ers (vs Rams) - 65%
    Vikings (vs Falcons) - 64%
    Steelers (vs Browns) - 64%
    Cowboys (vs Cardinals) - 60%

    Woof.

By comparison, the Saints are at 77% and the Cardinals are at 74% this week. Cardinals are also predicted to be at 12% popularity, with the Saints at 3% popularity. I'd pick between the two if I were you to give yourself the Steelers/Cowboys option next week. Cowboys predicted to be at 28% popularity this week so if they somehow manage to screw up again you'll likely lose a good chunk of your league.

Hopkins is going to shred Dallas for 200, absolutely do not take the Cowboys/Cardinals.

week 5 I'm taking Dallas, week 6 is brutal, but I'll probably take Balt. Things open up again in week 7.

This week and Week 12 at home against Washington are the only times I'll even consider picking the Cowboys knowing what we know now. And the latter is the Thanksgiving Day game. I tend to fade division games in survivor pools (especially with divisions as universally dogshit as the NFC East), but I'm enticed by the idea of already knowing my fate heading into the long holiday weekend. I'll burn a lot of good teams if I ever make it to that point anyway.

I think I agree, Clay! And there’s no way I’m picking some of those teams week 6 regardless of what the percentages say, lol. I think it will be interesting to see if the Jets improve at all with Flacco under center...can’t get any worse!

The eye test hasn’t been pretty, but statistically they have been worse against the run than the pass! Not saying Hopkins won’t torch them, I’m just not sure if they have the ability to slow down the Dallas offense, or the offensive diversity to keep up with them. Murray’s legs scare me more than anything with that matchup.

Could very well turn out like that Rams/Chiefs game from a few years ago

Take it with a grain of salt, FF05 (I was off on one of your previous questions)...but I'd play Boyd and Gage (I think Boyd is a must play among those 5).

Is anyone being cautious with all the Covid games? Are you rolling the dice with Bills players...or anyone in any of the pushed games? I've got Diggs in a few leagues and very skeptical about playing him. I do have lots of depth at the position in all leagues, and I know its still a bit early, but wondering how you all have been approaching the situation?

I'm moving forward with Tannehill and Diggs, rolling the dice

I think I'll go Gage over Juedy, I like that play.

Same here. Starting Teddy Bridgewater instead in one league.

This season is becoming quite the mess.

Made it thru week 5 of my survivor pool, had to sweat it out with the Saints! Also the schedule changes really help week 6, Patriots (vs Broncos) seems fairly safe but also considering the Dolphins (vs Jets) or Titans (vs Texans). I’m sure I can find some future plays for the Patriots (@ Jets week 9) and the Titans (@ Bengals week 8)...and the Dolphins have the Broncos, Jets (again), Bengals in consecutive weeks 10-12. So I guess I just need to go with the safest play this week, feel like this could be a let down week for the Phins after the big win on the west coast.

Re: Fantasy Football 2020: Talk, Advice, & Start 'em, Sit 'em

I’ve come to realize there are 4 phases of being a FF manager:

    1) Excitement - Before and right after the draft. “This is the year” and “This year will be different” I always tell myself.

    2) Engagement - Checking the rankings, reading FF related websites, playing the waiver wire, thinking about trades.

    3) Acceptance - After injuries, players underperforming, waiver moves that haven’t worked and several weeks of questionable lineup decisions you’re sitting at .500 or worse and you realize your team is average at best. This is when the “Fuck fantasy football” mentality starts to creep in

    4) Demoralization - Fuck fantasy football. Why do I waste my time on this shit? You set your lineup and that’s it.

    I’m at step 3. Step 4 isn’t far off.

I bet against Tannehill and went Rodgers last week, we saw how that worked out. Wentz turned it on last week though, maybe he's turned a corner

Im leaning Wentz... also picked up Fulgham and might play him in flex.

Eagles just played two good defenses back to back and looked decent. Things should open up for Wentz tonight with Jackson back against a softer D. Plus they will be throwing more with Sanders out.

Don't be surprised if Boston Scott gets used a lot though. He shredded NYG last year twice.

That, and if Philly goes up, they may run heavy. I don't really see Philly playing from behind much in this game.

Also played Scott today. I feel better about it now.

4th Q saved me with Wentz there. Not sure why that guy is so damn inconsistent in game.

Dunno, but I benched him regardless. Sucks, but I can find better options on my bench. Can't imagine him hitting double digits based on past performances and the matchup.

    Evans or AB?

Seems like Evans has been steady but not great.

    Could AB kill it though?

    Thoughts?
