Does anyone else think it may be possible that with the creation of the TorontoR00 DMB won't play the Amp this year and instead may be a headliner at the festival (In case you haven't heard a Bonnaroo style festival is being created for July 24-26 at Burl's Creek Park in Barrie) Here's a link

    http://www.pollstar.com/news_article.aspx?ID=815813

    My guess is NO
-DMB rarely does N. American festival appearances (although of all of them they have played Bonnaroo multiple times)
-That's a prime wknd for the band to have a multiple night stand somewhere
-This is a new festival, it will be hard for them to pay a guarantee DMB demands

I see the festival starting year 1 with somewhat B acts as headliners, maybe we'll get The Tragically Hip one night, I'll be real surprised if we get true Bonnaroo headliners...

    Everyone's input would be great

Unlikely, unless the 2105 Summer DMB tour schedule defers the upstate NY shows to July (which I don't think will come to pass, although it has been rumoured in the SPAC 2015 thread). I can't see that happening. The Toronto Molson's Amp venue is smack in the middle of sites to be used for the PanAm Games, to take place in Toronto in July which would make a show theire at that time difficult to get in and out of.

A Toronto show, as usual, in June seems to be a safe bet.

If Toronto is trending towards a July date and the PanAm games will be on the Toronto Bonnaroo fest seems that much more likely...

Yet it still seems very unlikely in my mind

It looks like the only Pan Am events at night on the 21st are Beach and Indoor volleyball. Other than immediate family members, I can't imagine there will be too many people in the stands. For that or any other events.

Toronto mid week show 7/21. It will be difficult to get in and out of with PanAm games in town and PanAm games venues all around the Molson's concert venue site.

Not the only show in Canada.
    Montreal on 7/22 !!!

    Re: ***Official Toronto 2015 Thread***

The PanAm Games will definitely be bad for driving/parking. I worked for the PanAm Games when they were in Winnipeg, and even in a pre-9/11 world, security clearances were just plain stupid when it came to driving from point A to point B within a technically public area (and I was STAFF!). It's good that there isn't much happening that night, but everything surrounding it will be kept monitored by "security" volunteers who don't know there's a concert going on.

For us transit riders, it won't be worse than dealing with the Indy, which completely cuts off the already-lengthy walking path from TTC to the Amp. That said, I kinda expect the TTC to step up (for once) and provide some good direct access to the area. Will still be slow going, though.

Also -- I already had plans to travel to Montreal the very next day. What are the odds?!

The day after the Toronto show last June, my husband and two kids moved to Vancouver BC. Who would have thought they would visit Vancouver this year! What luck! Thankfully I work for WestJet so I will be back for the Toronto and Montreal shows this year as well!

I'm confused here too, when you go to ticket master.ca there is no option to purchase on the feb 13 but dmband.com indicates on sale to the public Feb 13 at 10am.

    Does anyone have more info?

Yegads, just got a US order on my CC for an Amazon order and exchange is up to 25.4%, the Amazon Canada VISA card doesn't charge you the 2.5% foreign exchange fee that almost all other cards do (Sears Mastercard is another that doesn't). That's 27.9%.

So a pair of Toronto tickets ordered from the WH for GA PIT @ $90/ticket + $6.50/ticket + $18.50 shipping = CDN$270/pair. Zoinks.

Anyone know if there's a presale for the Toronto show? I called Ticketmaster.ca and they said it's not through TM this year. I got an AMEX card just for this purpose. Can't get a hold of anyone at Ontario Place. The public sale is supposed to be on Feb. 13 but who is selling? There are tickets being sold through Ticket Monster when you go on the Molson website but this is clearly a ticket broker. GA PIT is going for $1259 each????

Expect ticket pre sales (ie. American Express Front of the Line etc) for the Toronto show to start on Tues Feb 10 at 10 am EST, but nothing yet to confirm this on the Live Nation or Ticketmaster websites (even though Ticketmaster website confirms pre sale for Vancouver show to start Feb 10 at 10am PST).

Only allowed me will call delivery with a credit card & Picture ID required at pickup.

Live nation app crapped out about two minutes to 10. Glad I was by the computer.

I got a few searches in on TM before I got a constant "high demand - no matches" error (it's 10:36 and I'm still getting it). Went to the TM app, and after about 6 tries ended up with GA. I was hoping for first few rows of the 200s, but whatever, I'll take it!

See you on the floor again, bud! I just pulled floors off the live nation app, it was actually the website that crapped out on me "high demand" the whole time. They popped up around the same time as yours.

    Re: ***Official Toronto 2015 Thread***

Had no luck using Chrome, kept telling me "high demand for GA and 200's", but when I switched to Safari at 10:15 I was able to snag a pair in the middle of 203. Didn't want to take my chances so I grabbed em. Stoked!

Nice! I was pulling pairs in the 200s like it was nothing. First request for tickets was 201 row O. Had about 5-6 other pair of 200 but kept putting them back looking for floors.

We'll have to try meet up for a pre show drink.
