2009 tour is massively underrated. April, June and August 2009 have some of the best shows this band has ever played IMO.

That said, most of 2012 was a trainwreck... except for Alpine

indifferent, except that it means they'll be touring and hopefully that will bring them to europe

i would take these two any time. i wish they'd dilute the BW stuff a bit, but i wouldn't like if they cut some older stuff to make way for the new. i'll be happy whatever the weather, but i'd rather they made sure to hammer on the old rare shit

It actually makes me less excited and I will explain why.

Lots of 2009 shows with Big Whiskey tracks taking up an incredibly large part of the set. In 2010, the band started the tour off with a lot of creativity. I was almost 100% sure I was going to see Hello Again or something else rare. By the time my shows got around, they were composed of like 8-10 Big Whiskey songs. That was cool once I guess, but it got old REALLY fast.

    In 2012, the same deal.

The years the albums come out have sets full of the new songs and that definitely makes me less excited.

I personally loved the 2016 tour because as I approach 20 shows, I was able to scratch off rarer songs live that I've wanted to see for some time. Break Free, Sugar Will, and Raven were all A+. I think they played 3 new songs at each show I saw, and that's perfect.

I don't need more than 3-4 songs off of any release at the show because the DMB arsenal is so large.
