How would you know if what I said was wrong or right? You joined in 2007. I was referring to the early days on this website. There weren't a ton of people saying positive things about pop music back then.

As a frame of reference, JT had one non N'Sync album out when I joined ants in late 2002. And it had been out for one month. He was still N'Sync JT at that point. People don't think of him like that anymore.

And not to argue a pointless subject, but JT has NOT always been universally liked. I'm not sure how old you are, but if you remember the N'Sync days, there were PLENTY of haters. Glad to see that's changed.

Not sure if it’s been talked about but 2 premiums cost 680 now after fees. That’s unreal. The warehouse is scalping their own tickets.

But as to that last bit, Premiums have their premium price printed on the face. So face value of a Premium ticket is $325. The swag are "gifts."

So i can sell the tickets on stubhub for 325 each (face value), have the warehouse ship me the merch after the show, sell that stuff for 250+ bucks (Way more if the poster is hot) and not break any rules?

Look I’d never do that but there is the flaw in the warehouses scheme...the face value of the ticket is $115...they get away with scalping their own tickets by adding “gifts” to them that don’t add up to 325 total.

I’m all for the price increase. I’m all for fair market value. But don’t crush people for scalping when you do it in a roundabout way yourself.

Look, I'm not a fan of Premium seating, but it's not scalping. It's the producer of the content (not a third party) charging more for certain seats; same way lowers cost more than uppers, and uppers cost more than lawn.

If this was truly a free market society, there would be no such laws against scalping. A ticket’s value would be whatever someone was willing to pay.

In a prefect free market society they would start every ticket in the venue at $15000 bucks...every day the price is lowered until someone steps up and buys it. Naturally, the venue would fill from front to back. Anything left for sale by 7pm on show night should be free. Imagine how that would play out...

Again I’m all for ticket price increases. It discourages scalping by decreasing their margins, and it’s effing American. I’m just against the Warehouse playing both sides so blatantly

No I get it, I’ve had the tickets and seen the price printed on it...

It’s not the face value for this reason...if I were to use Ticketmaster and get lucky to score seats in the first 5 rows right beside or even in front of premiums, they would cost $115 plus fees....

No they wouldn’t, because those tickets don’t exist on ticketmaster. They are held back as “platinum seats” and sold for way more than $115, held back for venue/artist/promoter/sponsor holds, or just directly dumped on the secondary market.

You cannot get those tix on TM. At least not for $115

There are a lot of people on here who don’t realize that at $115, they actually are getting a great deal. Doesn’t mean that they’re not tough for some to afford, but there are a lot of items we cannot afford that we do not complain about, we just accept it and move on. There are a lot of people here who have done just that, kudos to them. However plenty who are complaining and pointing fingers at the band or management, and that’s a little silly imo.

As I’ve mentioned, I think the uppers and lawns are actually a bad deal in most cities/venues.
