    Re: NHL 2011/2012 Thread

Hey all. I know they are a few days late but as I mention in my post on my site, I didn't let any of the game 1's affect my predictions. Just took until today to finally get the blurbs done. Anywho. Here's what I think. Sans the blurbs. (If you want the blurbs, a link to my buddy and I's site is in and always has been in my signature. I will not repeatedly beg for reads like aeroshady. That's not me.)

    Eastern Conference
    (1) New York Rangers vs (8) Ottawa Senators

    Rangers in 5.

    (2) Boston Bruins vs (7) Washington Capitals

    Bruins in 6.

    (3) Florida Panthers vs (6) New Jersey Devils

    Devils in 7.

    (4) Pittsburgh Penguins vs (5) Philadelphia Flyers

    Pens in 6.

    Western Conference
    (1) Vancouver Canucks vs (8) Los Angeles Kings

    Canucks in 7.

    (2) St. Louis Blues vs (7) San Jose Sharks

    Sharks in 6.

    (3) Phoenix Coyotes vs (6) Chicago Blackhawks

    Hawks in 6.

    (4) Nashville Predators vs (5) Detroit Red Wings

    Predators in 7.

    Stay classy, Shea.
Like I said, I'm not going to defend Weber's actions from Wednesday night - they were uncalled for. With that said, how do we know he's laughing about that in this picture? Does somebody have a video of this? Does anybody know what was being said? It's just a picture of two teammates on the ice laughing.

I'm really pulling for the Panthers to beat the Devils. I'd love to play them in the 2nd round if the Bruins advance while the Rangers battle it out with the Flyers/Pens.

This I saw someone trying to make the argument that that's what he was doing in another place as well. People are still trying to keep this alive for some reason. It's over, get over it.

And if Z smashed Weber's face you wouldn't be over it Telling a sports fan to get over something your own player did, especially as stupid as this, is pointless

I'd be angry about it and would want some retribution in the next game and I would have called for a one game suspension, just as I did with Weber. However I wouldn't post pictures of Z smiling and saying that he's flaunting the fact that he got away with it just because he cracked a smile at one point the next day.

No idea if it's live, but there is literally no one in the stands except a grouping of Philly fans at Consol. I hate that building and the "fans" who can afford tickets there.

There's nothing clear about that picture lol. People see what they want to see, and they are stretching this into something I don't think it is. If there's a video of it, show me and I'll admit that I'm wrong.

I don't need a video to know that you're wrong. You're being a homer. I'd love to hear your explanation as to what's going on in that picture.

Yea, you're being an idiot here. Either one is serenading the other or they are imitating the hit.

Crosby! I barely had time to sit down. It's ok, though, Flyers fans. Pens can score 5 this period and they'll still find a way to lose.

You've never seen somebody rub the helmet of a teammate as a sign of comradery? And yeah I'm being a homer for saying that what Weber did was terrible, stupid, irresponsible, and deserved a game suspension for it.
