the band has reacted to crowd chants before though, on multiple occassions.

They chanted it throughout #27 and the start of Everyday. At one point, Dave commented "I can't hear you"......then "if you're lucky".

So it's not as if they soundcheck it then right?

Maybe he cut them some slack because not Roi or Jeff.

Probably the reason that listening to RR05 sounds s#!tty is because if it's not on the setlist or sound checked then Dave doesn't have the lyrics on his little cheat screen and therefore he tends to eff up.

Just got back from the show - Dave didn't mess up the lyrics. I couldn't believe it since they obviously pulled it out of nowhere. He turned to carter and spent a bit talking to them and Everyday started and quickly turned into Halloween. It took almost a minute for the crowd to actually realize what was happening

OK everyone...I JUST got home from the show. All I can say is UNREAL! This was my 57th show and FINALLY got to hear it!!!!!!!!! And at RIVERBEND of all places? The venue that EVERYONE talks so much crap about? Let's just say that I'm glad that they finally gave something back to the midwest people. I have gone to so many shows wanting for that very moment....

My fiance and I were walking back from the bathrooms, because #27 seemed like a good bathroom break song. All of a sudden I hear the intro to Everyday (only on acoustic). I didn't think anything of it. All of a sudden I hear the intro to Halloween and I start jumping up and down. I then am on a DEAD sprint back to my seats, but can see and hear the whole first verse perfectly. I honestly have never felt such a rush in my life. The hair on my arms was sticking straight up in the air...Chills were running down my spine, and words could not describe the feeling. Halloween at Riverbend.....let me say this again...Halloween at Riverbend. I grew up going to show after show at Riverbend. I know its not the best venue in the world, but it's fun. I hear people bash it all the time, and now this might be up there with SPAC from this tour. Unreal. Even though only a one song encore, this still goes down as the best DMB show I've ever been to. After 57, since winter 1998, this was it!!!!

So the guys around me in third row pit all told us to chant halloween after the fifth song. So we did, and look what we got!!!!!!!!!!! How amazing it was to see it from the third row!!!! WOW Easily the best show out of the 21 shows Ive been to!!!
