Cigarette Lit vs Trouble With You -
As we know, neither of these songs have been played live in a DMB setting.

Hypothetical- The band asks the Ants community (lol) to pick only one of these to play in a live setting before their career is over. Which do you pick?

I originally planned to vote Monkey Man because I love Cater’s drumming on it and the lyrics resonate with me more - but Cigarette Lit seems like it would be more fun live. It’s a tough one for me.

Explain your answer if you don’t mind.

    Lol uhhh... think you fucked up the title or the poll there bud

    That said, Cig Lit is a top 15 Dave song of all time so I’ll always pick that. I think it’s more likely to be played too. Just seems like it’d be a great, soaring live song. Monkey Man and Trouble w/ You are way too subdued. I actually haven’t even thought about Trouble w/ You in years lol. Having trouble even remembering what it sounds like.

    Yeah maybe if Monkey Man was finished I'd like it better. But the Lillywhite demo is more of a framework than a completed song.

    It did have great potential though.

    Hold Me Down is such a great song on its own that it makes me frustrated that Cigarette Lit bastardized the riff instead of having it recorded the way it was.

    I'd pick cigarette lit to hear live. Personally, I think both twy and monkey man are better songs and if Roi was still alive would have a hard time picking between the two.
