Also got my Tavour box today. Told myself I wasn’t going to order from Tavour anymore but that didn’t last. The Abraxas set is something I’m definitely looking forward to. Also snagged a 2016 BA B-Bomb from Freemont on Black Friday.

Picked up a BA Imperial stout from Mortalis this weekend. People were camped out at 4 am. I rolled in at 11, they opened at noon, I got out at 3. They limited it to one per person, already there are people offering 120$ for it. Crazy.

Its a shame that company is owned by such a shithead, used to drink it a lot in my early twenties.

3 Fontenien is in distro in DFW and it. is. awesome. I picked up a 750 ml of hommage, 375 of Oude Gueuze and 375 of cuvée and gaston. A couple of other shops got more today so I’ll pick some up tomorrow. Been craving lambic since I left Brussels and to have it readily available down the street is rad.

We get 3 Fontenien at my main bottle shop as well. I don't know enough about the style to buy some, though. Those above good recommendations?

Have a care package from Treehouse en route for my bday, but it's arriving a day late and after I leave for a short weekend trip.

Had a buddy go up to Trillium and snag me a few hundred bucks worth of stuff. Haven’t had it in forever, can’t wait to work my way through it the next few months.

3F got here about a year or so ago, pretty cool but its only ever really fresh batches of Geuze, never even any kreik or fruited stuff.

Ive been dying to pick up some Fou, as ive never had it. Thebelgianstore.com ships to the US for about $30 and they have some various Cantillon bottles.available

I would recommend starting with the Oude Gueuze just to get the basic version of the style. It’s my personal favorite from the ones I’ve popped open so far.

For those that would know better than me, can someone explain the pictures of the people walking that long bridge from the beach for the Treehouse new location down in the Cape? I mean, can you conceivably be at the beach and walk that 1/4 mile bridge to get to the brewery? It's in a few photos.

Conceivably, yes. But realistically you'd just be at the beach and walk down to the brewery. The boardwalk is just one of the beach features at the other end.

I don't mean to be Captain Obvious, but they really need to make that safer if people walk on that boardwalk coming back from the brewery. Heck, even if you're sober they need rails and support so that people don't fall into the water.

That's clearly not "coming back" from the brewery, and it's not maintained or owned by them. What are you talking about

Not saying the brewery maintains the boardwalk going over the water, but if that long boardwalk from the beach to the area of where the brewery is going to be, they need to put up something for rails at the very least.

If you look at the picture of the Bourne Bridge, to the right of that underneath you'll see a wide view of the beach and then of the bridge that walks to a specific lot where it appears is where the brewery is going to be. How is that safe for people walking that long boardwalk over the water? Unless it's roped off after hours and you cannot walk it?

Yea its confusing, idk if its based on what they paid for their license to ship or what, but other out of state breweries can ship full cases to PA and have no brand limit.

I dont even know how they can enforce the brand limit. Are they really gonna be able to see you bought X IPA seven months ago?

Yes. If you are ordering online then they will have a record of everything you've ordered.

Of course they will in their system, im not a moron. But do they have to report every sale to the state of PA? Are they going over it with that fine tooth of a comb? The only thing theyve mentioned is they will refund sales that go over the three four pack limit, the wording about the brand limit almost sounded like a "try not to do this *wink* ".

I don't think this has anything to do with reporting sales to the state of PA. There is a law they have to follow, so they are going to follow the law. Sure, they could turn a blind eye and not follow the law and run the risk of being caught, but I'd be willing to bet they don't want to take that chance.
