Re: Peloton bike

Wilpers does nothing for me. Don't care about smooth pedal strokes or technique.

I am only concerned about music and/or attractiveness of the instructor.

Christine can get technical in her rides. She's actually a competitive bike racer and won Nationally and at Worlds over the past few years. Not sure if you'd be into her overall style of teaching though.

Interesting. I didn't know that about her. She is one of my least favorite instructors but I am certainly not going for performance improvement so it doesn't sound like a good fit. I am just not into her style you mention.

I’ve been streaming a Kendall class on the Tv for inspiration while doing my class on the iPad.

My rides are usually based on music. So I really only do themed rides like 80s, 90s, rock, hip hop, etc. However, I took my first HIIT ride today and really enjoyed it.

Good luck! We ordered ours 11/15/2020. Our original delivery date was 1/20/2021, but they canceled the day before. So far I've only been told "April" is my new delivery date.

Yikes. I ordered mine the day before you did and it arrived on 12/26, which was two weeks ahead of the date we initially scheduled. I must have gotten incredibly lucky.

Rode 4/7 days this week. Good start. Did a 20-20-5 today starting with a 20 minute HIIT with Kendall. When did she become Robin junior? 95% of what she said was either motivational or fluff with not nearly enough dialogue about what was coming next in the ride. She was not like that last time I did one of her rides. She also did an interval where the speed went from 60-65 to 120 plus. That's way too big of an increase. I'll be sticking with Alex and Ben for now.

She has a budding Insta and celeb career. She needs to talk more.

Also, the 60-65 to 120 plus I love. Denis does this all the time on his HIIT rides. Big fan.

I tried him once and it wasn't my thing but it was a short low impact ride i think so there wasnt as much energy. Maybe ill give him a second chance with a better ride

The classes without riders in there with the instructor really lack the energy that the pre-covid rides have. It will be nice when the new rides have people in there.

I did Olivia's Guns N' Roses ride last night and it was the first ride I have done where people were in studio. I thought it was weird to have people in there with the instructor

I have figured out that doing an Olivia ride is pretty much a guarantee that I am going to set a new PR.

Sam Yo brings a little too much “If It Feels Good And You Know You Should” and "tickle the muscles" for me. I don't know why but those phrases of his drive me nuts.

They need to get Christian Vande Velde back in the studio. Feel like him and Wilpers are the only people who structure workouts (at least that I've taken) for performance improvement as opposed to those who are just focused on going as hard as you can for 30.

Doesn't Christine offer similar rides in terms of endurance?
