So I had no choice (my phone line was stuck somewhere in limbo, on neither old nor new phone) but to get in the car and race over to Verizon since their chat and phone support was not connecting. Thankfully the girl there was nice and knowledgable. The jamokes online were trying to activate my eSIM, which is used generally for a second (business) line, and isn't the full 5G capability. So she threw in a physical SIM, since my old X's SIM is too outdated for 5G. She got me up and running in minutes, while the remote support was 3 hours.....

I had this after upgrading to 14. really annoying. I can't remember what fixed it, but it went away. may have just been a hard restart.

My battery life has been amazing on my 13 Pro. Granted, I haven't put it through a real tough test yet (been busy at work and haven't been able to give it a real good day of use), but even without use, I'm maintaining 75% following a full day, which is ridiculous. I can only imagine what the pro max would be. On my 12 Pro following a full day of real heavy use, I'd be at around 10-15% by 7-8ish at night.

Laptops are legit even easier than that these days, especially with the cloud. Just sign into your Microsoft account and bingo bango. At least that’s how it works for Windows. The rest is just connecting to wifi/computer personalization. There’s really nothing to it.

Honestly, it basically does. With iCloud Drive my iMac (yea not a laptop but the point still stands) was ready to roll in like 10 min. It was amazing

Considering a switch back to the iPhone after four years on Android. Not really sure why, just kind of feel like it. Anyone know how Apple determines what qualifies for trade in? I'm guessing it just might be too soon to the Galaxy S21's release for me to trade it in via Apple? I could do it through T-Mobile, but prefer buying unlocked/direct from the manufacturer.

Alright I've had the 12 mini for awhile and love the size, but it's my first 5G phone and it was getting super hot and draining the battery. I turned 5G off and no longer have this issue just on LTE. Anyone else had this issue?

Do you live in an area that has spotty 5G coverage? Your phone will always attempt to auto connect to the strongest network. If 5G is spotty and your phone is always trying to connect to it, it makes sense you might experience more battery drain.

Have had a terrible time with Apple Music since getting the new phone/iOS. Constantly getting errors stating that the resource is not available or that the request timed out when a song goes to play. Like, half the songs on an album will do it.

You can turn 5g off I think.

Anyways, that's expected, same thing happened with LTE back in the day.

Oh, for sure. I was just suggesting trying to turn off 5G if you're in a spotty area and having battery issues.

Thanks guys. I live in Seattle so maybe we don't have great 5G coverage here? I've noticed it does get worse when I go out to the suburbs so I think you're right.

Check the coverage map for the heat zone.

still with iphone 6. still getting texts from verizon with offers i can't find on their website lol i wonder if they're pushing to get fives and sixes off the network similarly to the iphone 4.

this fall might finally be the time i update, though
